Social 🆚 NZWarriors SuperCoach Competiton 2024

I'm having nightmares about Supercoach this week.

Was going to have Drinkwater as my captain, then made the decision to switch it to the Hammer and get this:

I got caught up in the hype of Xerri making his Bulldogs debut and do this half an hour before kickoff:

And then nearly every non-scoring player in my squad makes a heap of points:

I'm 38,754th :D
This is the first committed season to SC. It's a bit different to NRL Fantasy.

Well done tajhay tajhay, that's a great standing considering there are about 160,000 players. It's my first go at both and I've found Supercoach a little more enjoyable as when you watch a match and see a line break or line break assist etc you know that there are decent points accumulating for your players. The scoring in NRL Fantasy can sometimes be a bit underwhelming compared to what you are picturing in your mind while watching a match. I do like the NRL Fantasy app though, very simple interface.

It takes a while to learn the ropes, and treat the first season as your teaser. Its very addictive though especially in an active comp. You will prob have already found yourself watching more other NRL games than you would usually because your fantasy players are in it :)

I've found myself checking the scores more than a few times during games. Normally I don't have my phone near me but that's changed.

Hows everyone doing in SC (especially the newbies)? Anyone else in the top 1% club?

Nice work!! Was wondering who that was. I’m having my worst season ever to date, coming 33,500th after a very sloppy start. Oh well, lots of time to gain some respectability… although suspect it won’t be this week, being forced to play Galvin & Schiller who I don’t expect to go too well.

the only thing I really don't like about Supercoach vs NRL fantasy is the dual position players.

In Supercoach you have to have a dual position player in both of those positions in order to move them, where as in NRL Fantasy you can move the DPP to the bench then trade with the specialist player so you only have to have one DPP player to be able to take advantage of that utility value.

Are you sure? U can move players around before trading in the player you want, after trading out a player click on the trade out tab & move your dual position players around as much as you want.

Apologies, I should have said switch rather than trade.

So, in Supercoach you need to have a DPP player in both positions in order to switch them. Where as in NRL fantasy you aren't limited to keeping players in a position on the bench or reserves. So, you can utilise that DPP a lot better and easier

Could someone in the know please advise - Currently I have 11 starters in my squad and a few reserves who are playing in the weekend. Will the two lowest scoring reserves activate to make up the 13 or do you literally need to have 13 starters for the bye rounds?
