Don’t downplay your potential to go big this year. Each season is a lottery - a mate of mine was in 7th spot overall 2 years ago midway through, then last year prob never ranked above 30k. And who cares really, much more about having a crack then how well you do.
I didn't pay any attention to either Fantasy or Supercoach until Wrighty and tajhay/Mr Brownstone brought them up on here. I have some recollections of Supercoach being mentioned during game commentaries for years but never paid any attention to it until reading through the threads. I'm about to do a third year on both and have enjoyed them nearly equally, but personally I like Supercoach more because it's easier to identify the high scoring plays during a game with it being so attack focused. There's been times when I've looked up Fantasy scores after a weekend and found some of them bemusing.Bit sneaky having it in this thread

Never played Fantasy however you only need to compare the top averaging players in each comp to see that SuperCoach has scoring that is generally much more aligned to actual NRL. It’s also got a much higher profile through Fox media.
Super Coach has better rules and with an 18th man it is much fairer and you don't lose a H2H round due to an HIA.
Fantasy has fair better software and it is a pleasure to use the system and it is genuinely exciting to put a player in your team as each avatar has a personal picture of their in real life face.
In other news I have made my Super Coach team in a little less than 30 minutes. I had spent so long pouring over options for NRL fantasy that I knew the player options by heart. I took Cleary Haas as my big guns and my flyer player is iPap. Will see if that gamble pays off. All my other picks were pretty generic and would cause no eyebrows to be raised.

SuperCoach switching to the NRL stats, will benefit centres, hookers, second row & front row. Negative for halves & fullbacks. Not happy.
Yep its a big shitty shift. NRL count their stats differently to Foxsports (which IMO is vastly superior).

Maybe they’re hoping to entice the dumb arse Queensland market that currently favour Fantasy
Apparently 'people' wanted faster confirmation of scores so no monday score adjustments to get more accurate scores. What the scores/stats are 3 hours after the match are what they will be and they will not go back and recheck.

They’re giving up a lot of quality just to not have Monday updates. The likes of Terrell May don’t need more points, he’s so average as an actual NRL prop.
