🤖 AI Summary

📝 Summary:

Warriors fans expressed intense disappointment after a heavy Round 1 loss to the Raiders, criticizing the team's lackluster defense, ineffective attack, and poor bench management. Key concerns included defensive lapses, with one member #6 noting issues like Niukore's missed tackles and delayed substitutions for young forwards Halasima and Vaimauga. Player performances were heavily scrutinized, such as CNK's errors at fullback #132 and Luke Metcalf's struggle at halfback #136, while others debated positional changes like moving RTS to fullback for added stability. Coach Andrew Webster faced backlash for questionable decisions, particularly his reluctance to utilize impact players early; a user #297 highlighted how rookies Halasima and Vaimauga outperformed veterans Capewell and Niukore in limited minutes. Demands for roster changes surfaced, including dropping underperformers like Pompey and Niukore #42, with broader frustration over the team's direction and lack of attacking innovation. Despite acknowledging round-one challenges, many fans deemed the performance inexcusable, emphasizing the urgency for strategic adjustments before facing Manly.

Capewell with 8 missed tackles. Besides Leka and Demitric with their limited game time, Barnett was the only player without a missed tackled.

Granted its going to take some time for the team to gel, but what i saw is very uninspiring. There is no enterprising play and not sure how they plan on scoring points. The one out running with lack of offload and support play is very depressing.

Not particularly impressive from us, but the Raiders looked better than I expected they would.
The connection between 1st Round Wins and GFs is probably very shaky, so I'm not going to make any observations there.
I'd like to think the Twenny I placed before the game on the Wahs to win The Whole Shebang hasn't cursed the season already. If so... I Sos. My Bad. I Di'n't Eat Mah Meat, The Wahs Can't Have Any Puddin'.

A few points here.

•I know its round 1 but this line up needs massive changes, no point changing it 8 rounds in.
Erin Clark’s better than Fish, Fish is a cat who runs routes to the little number 9, never runs it hard to a middle forward.
•2 of Leka, Laban and Demetric need to be starting on the edges.
Pompey, CNK, Capewell, Niukore need to go
•there back up winger on debut was better than our whole backline, and we’re over here resigning Pompey and signing Harper and most of you are happy with that?
• webby needs to stop being so fkn stubborn, what is our new game plan? attack left instead of right? Amazing. How about we threat both sides,is that hard.
• were too conservative in every way

After one game I can pick out 3 things that need to happen immediately for the sake of the club.

Adam Pompey should not see first grade again.

He offers nothing in any area.

For years our edge has suffered from poor defence, I’ve seen different edge forwards and wingers take the blame. The reason that edge has been poor is Pompey.

I’d be happy to explain further for those who want it.

His attack is shocking, he’s slow, has poor decision making on both sides of the ball.

I could keep going but I won’t.

Niukore needs to go, or a heavily reduced role. Slow, bad reads and no impact from his runs.

And finally, we need to realise we have 4 players on our bench.

There’s other things obviously but those 3 are glaring.
