I have had this massive Deja Vu feeling swarm over me where at the wash up of play today I change the black sheep rule for open auctions to make it a bit different for the rest of the game, but then everyone who got stymied today by tied bids throws rocks at me.

If I could change the rules starting with Round Two and for the rest of the match - I would solve the issue by putting a price cap of $1M on potential black sheep picks. Then people can't brazenly bid $10M on Brandon Smith knowing no one will match.

Ahh so what you are saying is that a $10m bid on a player has to be matched to block but then effectively removes that player from being able to be bought.

Bah, leave the rules as they are. Makes the silent part of the draw increasingly more important for black sheep and the open is more a classic straight auction paying what a player is worth to you and your team

No

I am saying if someone bids $10M on Brandon Smith they will not get him as a black sheep pick since we would set a price cap on potential black sheep at $1M.

Therefore if someone bids $10M on Brandon Smith let them. And they will end up with a player that cost them $10M out of their $12M cap.

If someone bids $1M or less you would be unable to tie bid them to stymie them and would need to outbid them by $1K

Never seen an auction where u can tie bids- makes it a bit harder to follow and inruin is just gonna tie everyone anyway so the black sheep thing seems a bit of a waste of time but whatever- we’re under way now.
So what’s the time in nz now?

4.56pm

See my counter suggestion just above. We would need to let Round One play out with today's rules but could change to the above for round two onward.
