What is SJ record playing in the team this year ? how many wins with his halves leadership?

SJs record this season is 3-8-1.

TMM (at 7) is now 4-0-0.

I do wonder CHTs role in this.

He too is 4-0-0 and arguably 5-0-0 with a long stint when Metcalf got injured.

Certainly cannot deny TMMs influence but CHT has completely unlocked the left, would be great to give him some proper fire power outside him.

Shaun playing injured and Chanel with that left foot boot is an awesome foil for whoever plays #7.

Can't deny how good TMM has been there though, been a revelation.

Why exactly would Marata get destroyed at Cup? PTB is how quick you get off the ground, plant the ball and roll it backwards while the opposition are running back 10m. The longer you take the more time they have to set their defence.

If you could measure the speed of a pass I reckon they’re also doing it at a slower rate. It’s a shuffle pop pass mostly. Again it’s a slow way of passing. Safer. But slow.
Hes say the wrestle isnt in nsw cup as much, its the small things like the slowing the play the ball down that make the nrl a step above.

The cup team wouldnt have the fast a ptb in the nrl

I was going to mention CHT until I checked and was reminded that CNK was the halves partner in the first win.

CHT is 6-3-1, in all games this season* and 3-0-0 when starting at five-eighth.

* Edit: added minutes played to get a better picture how much involvement CHT had.
* Edit again: added minutes for the other halves.

It's a good base to build a run off.
Defence is bloody good except we let them get 16 points off the back of a much less dominant pack. So we are winning up front but can't hold any speed or advantage they get from a6 again or penalty.

Our attack is still clunky but improving.

My 2 cents worth.Firstly nxt weeks doggies game is crucial to get the 2 to set up the back end of the season.Yea after last week's performance we stepped up a notch well we had to.Monty sorry buddy you can't stay as a winger Lost count how many times you got passed.Saw the passion again last night now keep it going boys there's so much talent amongst most of you.

I’ll tell you one thing: in the NRL, you HAVE to bring your A game every week. Slip up even a little and you'll pay for it—any lapse in concentration, any small mistake gets punished. What I’m trying to say is, maybe there isn’t an internal feud like all you gossipers are claiming to explain our current form. The desire and belief from the seasoned players has just leveled off. It’s totally normal. The excitement and thrill of playing NRL slowly fades as you get older; it’s just natural behavior. I can see it happening here. We need to inject some youth and excitement back into the team. That’s pretty obvious to me. It’s that’s simple. You will see this in the dogs next week. Mark my words.
100% facts.

Look at CHT. Mans is hungry. Every play he’s scrapping. SJ has lost that atm. Laban, Ale even Walker are miles ahead of Tofu in terms of speed and hunger.

Both halves are engaging at the line, TMM as deep as possible. The commentator even made mention of how deep into the line he was kicking at the end of the set at one point. SJ just isn’t for whatever reason like last year

It’s not just the halves play. It’s the 1 percenters that SJ/Tofu aren’t up to doing.

That try that CHT stole, he came from nowhere, ball hawking and sprinted in and got his hand on it. HUNGER & SPEED. Which is exactly what Beastmode Beastmode is saying the older guys are lacking. Which is 100% true.

Depends what older guys you’re talking about? DWZ and Barnett I would class in heading in that direction age wise. More than comfortable with what they’re producing. Capewell, better but still could need time to settle into a new system? Ford isn’t old, but I’m struggling with his consistency. CNK has fallen off a cliff in the last fortnight

SJ has been a little off all year imo. TMM was engaging the line at 6 previously but getting very little ball and not a lot of it was quality. Seems to be a much better distribution of possession and an understanding of when each of them should have the ball between TMM and CHT. Both sides of the field are getting opportunities currently.

Side note: has SJs calf/hamstring/Achilles injury an extension of the injury he had in the finals last year and just hasn't fully recovered at all?
