Same knee that Mets did his ACL in 2019. 💔
Really interesting times ahead with him being off-contract at the end of next year. A literal Dally-M season has just been thrown down the drain.

I haven’t seen the replay but watching live at the game there were definitely a few what was that for/ that was forward type moments. Interesting to see Webby have a bit of a crack at the officials in the media conference- dont think Ive ever seen that before? but everyone knows your not gonna get any calls against the broncos at suncorp especially if Reece Walsh is involved in the play.
I think people are overreacting a bit as far as the performance goes- basically everything that could have gone wrong did but it wasn’t through lack of effort.
Luckily we have some quality depth (well it’s not really luck because they’ve built the squad that way) and we now get the week to regroup.
I’m not expecting the wheels to fall off but it’s gonna be a grind from here on in.

For context, it's been a grind since the beginning of the season with being placed high on the ladder the reward for winning so many close games. Only one game against the Sharks where we turned it on were we dead set superior, how much the injuries will affect the team's performances is the concern from here on out..

It really was one of those games where anything that could go wrong did go wrong, every bounce of the ball and flukey tries going against us, some harsh reffing, plus the devastating injuries to top it all off....wow what a shitter of a game that was. Haven't felt this down in the dumps after a loss for a while.

You know when we start blaming officials and coach goes septic on opposition things on the turn
Sure our Sharks game was top drawer
But man for man Brons far more talented roster
That’s it folks!
Our young guns Demetria and Leka need to learn to be put in gaps not try and barge from standing start
Aussies love that confrontational type of forward game
We got pretty ordinary backline
With no real game breakers
If Charnze and CM go
We got TT TMM back up
And Tannah Boyd
🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️

Cheer up.

I had us losing to both Penrith and the Broncos on me ladder predictions (Penrith were finding form, dito Broncos, and Broncos had a reason to get revenge).

So while it sucks. We are right where I thought we would be.

Ed Kosi is getting a bit more grief than he deserves. One bombed scoring chance was because he was thrown a shit ball out in front and down at at his thighs. Another he was just well covered.

Take those two moments out of the game which I do not blame him for and his game was ok, I would be picking him next week based off what we have.

Anywho, I still have us a good chance at making fifth or sixth which i am still happy about.

I did factor in when I did the ladder predictor that we would lose two top players, I had Barnett and Metcalf as those two based off our luck *when I imagined this scenario I thought losing Egan and Barnett would be worse.
I still think we can make it into a somewhat decent finals position and get something out of the end of the year, and lets be frank, even with all our players fit, we were not going to win the Premiership...so cheer up and get back to looking for the good.

Easier to digest in the morning. We’re Top 4 with space and a Bye to get recalibrated.

Tanah in for Luke is an easy one, I had Tanah ahead pre season but happy to admit I was wrong.

We don’t have enough wingers to put Rog back so Taines the 1.

I can only hope Dallin or Ali are back early for an edge.

Next man up about to be tested in earnest, but could be great to watch as well.

Ed and Morgan are not the answers. Ed is ten times the player I’ll ever be but he’s just too expensive to play in first grade.

The disallowed try!
I refuse to believe given how Gee ref'd the game that he was just giving us one by awarding the try
I also refuse to believe that ref's just guess (haha) so he must have seen the ball both over the line and forced
If he didn't he would have referred it as a no try
Then we have the bunker looking at it
We will never know whether the angles they saw were the same as the ref's angle
Sure there were some angles that showed it likely to be held up
But there was one angle where you couldn't tell whether it was forced or not due to the curvature of the ground where you could only see 5/8ths of the ball - was this where Gee saw it forced.
In my view there was no conclusive evidence to overturn the ref's decision which I thought was the requirement

agree, looked great playing there, but first grade must be a giant step up for him to make, was hoping the transition for him would be easy, dam the nrl isn't known as the toughest comp in the world for nothing!
In the second game at Suncorp, the Dolphins blitzed the Rabbitohs with SPEED, and confirmed the adage that players with speed are usually winners in rugby league. The Warriors three-quarters has no one with genuine pace and clearly could not match it with the Broncos speed men (who also combined speed with physicality). Looking on from afar, seems to me pointless to persevere with the likes of Kosi and Tauapiki - surely there must be some young players in the club who can run quickly? If not the club will have to import - someone like SLOAN from the Dragons, who is quick and is now available???

Didn't we just beat the Dolphins at Suncorp a little while ago?

Sure injuries don't help... but IMO for what it's worth you must coach a game plan against each team... we look the same against everyone .... shit I thought predictability was in the past... not even..
Yes other coaches have sussed us out.
Raiders and Broncos ripped into us early and we had no answer.
