Nice to win however I don’t see us getting within 20 of the Dogs next week unless Webster makes some tough decisions. Tohu has been a great player however he’s no longer up to it. Seems like we lose all momentum when he’s on the field. Similarly RTS is too slow in the centres, we’ll get carved up down his edge every week he plays.

Halves, Barnett, Walker & a few others were excellent however they’re being let down by players well past their prime.

By 20? I'm not so sure about that.

I do agree that changes are needed but I also believe the 17 named today could scrap their way to a win.

Thing is though, Dogs are not a team you want to get into a scrap with.

MGT and Taine should be starting. Why are they not starting?!??!

I agree with the need for speed but with these comparisons Marata would be destroyed at Cup then, this is the definition of apples to orange lol

Jazz had an amazing PTB at under 3 sec at FG today, awesome to see

Why exactly would Marata get destroyed at Cup? PTB is how quick you get off the ground, plant the ball and roll it backwards while the opposition are running back 10m. The longer you take the more time they have to set their defence.

If you could measure the speed of a pass I reckon they’re also doing it at a slower rate. It’s a shuffle pop pass mostly. Again it’s a slow way of passing. Safer. But slow.

3.14 is shit compared to Cup guys, therefore Marata should be dumped from the squad immediately, based on the logic you presented

See the problem? 🤣🤷‍♂️ There is just the issue of what defenders you’re up against. Gotta be better evidence out there to back up your claims

No.
3.14 is probably close to the avg.

Shit is
3.68 - Tohu
3.59 - RTS
3.85 - Egan

TMM, CHT, AFB are all slow also but they compensate in other areas of their game. However there’s too many slow PTB across the entire team. Which is my point. A lack of speed.

Good result today on a top team. Big bounce back, plenty of points and big confidence builder for the team and coaches. Everything to play for still this season with a squad that's developing nicely. Players like RTS, Tohu and SJ are class, form is temporary. Up the Wahs

They weren’t the difference.
The difference was the opposition. Broncos missing half their team in Walsh,, Reynolds, Haas, Carrigan, Oates, Riki… that was a NSW cup team they played today. But don’t let that stop you all from celebrating a win !!!!
And one team was 7th on the table and the other was last. That last placed titans was also missing a few and were running middle forwards with the likes of Erin Clark too. We’ve done pretty well running out what would be considered a nsw cup team by your estimation against some quality opposition too

I’ve been consistent in my argument. It’s not the players. It’s the coach. And clearly Des Hasler is a better coach than Kevie Walters when you strip away all of Kevies stars.

Is this a troll post?

The art of a good troll post is not being sure if it is or not?

I'll agree with up the wahs. The rest, very sceptical...

Some thoughts

Positives- Attitude was good, forwards dominated and halves played well. DWZ was good. Good cameo from Lussick and Capewell’s best game. CHT’s kicking game has improved.

Negatives- CNK out of sorts, RTS is not a centre and Montoya needs to be depth rather than a regular starter. Red zone defence is still weak and undermines the dominant field position we are getting almost every week.

Bulldogs are 7-0 at home and have the 2nd best defence in the comp. We’ll have to play our best game of the season to win it.

Have you been watching the Doggies? They are getting away with murder - a heap of niggle & wrestle in the tackle, some of our boys will be well north of 4 second play-the-ball speed.

Then there’s Burtons bombs - could be a nightmare for Montoya et al. RTS against whichever side will leak points - Preston back plus Kikau, Kiraz & Crichton are quality.

I don’t think we’ll get close with the team we rolled out last night. But if we make the necessary changes then we are a chance.

You do realise there is a difference in the calibre of player and overall difficulty between the nrl and nsw cup right? You can’t be comparing the two 😂

At the game last night and feel they’ve been harshly judged on the W. Yes it wasn’t an A+ level game and the Broncs would be a different proposition with Haas and Walsh but you can only play what is in front of you, which they did and did well.

Hypothesisin here but say if it was 38-10 or the like would some posters be higher on them for ‘putting them away’? Tbh at the ground it felt like we were on top throughout and Broncs stood little chance of getting over the top of us.

There a couple of decisions and lapses that gave the Broncos some momentum back which likely flattered them. Lastly it was a very greasy night so ball control was on par with the conditions I thought.

To put the 66-6 result behind us with a win over last years GFers (yeah yeah I know who they had out), is a fantastic result.

Winners are grinners!

That was our first game in June without a sin bin ruining our rotation (3/4 games we’ve been sit down..) I was nervous as they were looking at CNK’s try saver 😅

A lot of positive energy on the field after the game, that must have been a relief.

Our opening stanza remains our strength but we need to find a way to stay in wrestle for the full half, we’re too guilty of losing our killer instinct from 20 minutes onwards. The optimist in me wants to suggest we played down to the opposition but that’s not what we need after having 66 points put on ya.

Love CHT at 6, Lussick’s service looked sharp, Capewah looked great despite having played origin and Barnett shouting in the team huddle is great to see

Bring on the Doggies !!

Yea watch them a lot. They are a good story this year.

Will be such a tough game, just don't see us getting flogged.

We don't have any trouble getting up field this year.

I'm expecting a tight scrap
