Yeah we looked slow in those games too. We just had a better attitude, were more physical and our opponents either took us lightly or had a really bad day (Cowboys were atrocious)

Even in those wins though, all 3 of the teams mentioned scored tries from inside their own 20-40m line against us.

That's the problem, opposition make a break anywhere on the field and it's usually try time. We make a break in our own half we're probably just gaining extra field position.

In games where the attitude and physicality is equal we're going to come up short because we don't have the icing on top to either swing momentum or kick them when they're down.

Singing/developing players with pace isn't just an attacking move, it helps with defence. Right now we can't match teams with pace and all the top teams have pace and know we don't.
Agreed. Last year we were bursting through tackles.
This year we are just too slow to take the gap.
We badly need Metcalf back

While I agree with this, and some faster players would certainly help, our ability to score points wasn't an issue. Our defence was and that's more about attitude and perhaps being smarter too. We scored long range tries against South's. Were we faster then?

Also the so called fastest side in the comp, the Titans, lost to the Tigers and have been running last. It’s a factor, but certainly not what people are making it out to be

No, we're as fast/slow as we've always been this season. A win doesn't make us faster anymore than a loss makes us slower. Being a slow team doesn't prevent you from winning games, it's just one of many factors, but the fact remains we are one of - if not the - slowest team in the comp.

We've scored 4 tries from inside our own half all year. One was a DWZ intercept on the 45m line, the other three were Egan running out of dummy half pretty much on the halfway mark. Nothing compared to the ones we've conceded where we just got left for dead plodding along while our opponents ran away.

It's turned games, changed momentum, and will continue to do so, but not in our favour.

Even games where our attitude is good and we're playing physical, it can and will cost us some of those games.

How many have we conceded from past halfway?

Warriors Harold mats captain kaawyn Patterson gone dogs three year deal.

Terrible management by warriors letting this happen.

Wasn't he player of the year?

Part of being a development club I guess is that you will lose players from your system often. You should never lose someone you want to keep though...

Can only hope there are not whispers emanating through about how hard it is to crack first grade for the Warriors.

From the outside looking in at the moment we have no idea at all how to blood juniors sadly.

Not sure. Would comfortably be more than double what we've scored though.

The two that stick out to me though are the first time we played the Storm 6-6 and starting to get on top, 80m try to them before following up with the next one and putting us in an 18-6 hole. We were dominant for the majority of that game but a long range try and that crazy last 3 minutes sunk us.

The other one was Anzac game against the Titans, two early tries and we're on fire. Titans getting smashed, but spread it wide to Khan, back inside to Brimson, and another 80m try that flips the game.

Pretty sure even the Souths game we won 34-4 had their only try from a long distance, but not sure it was inside they're half.
