NRL 360 said tonight Burton on S1m !!!Never really thought of Burton, but would solve our centre issues. A combo of Anderson, Ali, Burton and AKP would be pretty lethal.

It might be highly irregular, but I’d bet you real money, and a fair bit of it too, that he won’t be running out for either a First Grade or NSW Cup game in a Warriors jersey ever again.Well we have more than just flecks of tea leaves.
We know for a fact that Metcalf has not been picked this week.
I do not understand why people are trying to normalize the missing Metcalf thing as 'having time off' when he is a contracted player and the club have officially announced that their immediate plan is for Metcalf to remain at the Warriors for the rest of the season.
It is highly irregular for a player that has a contract to be given time off to go talk to the opposition and or even more irregular to be overseas in the midst of an NRL season. The November deadline exists for a reason. To spare clubs this exact kind of bullshit.
This situation is Metcalf's doing. The Warriors are under no obligation to let him take time off his job for a week (think about how ridiculous that situations sounds in the real world 'boss I am taking the week off to talk to other companies').
There is something wrong in the State of Denmark.
Well worth speculating over.
And Metcalf doesn't even need to go anywhere for his next contract negotiations, he has an agent, he has the internet.....
Given the curt statement from the Warriors that they will not make further comment until they get clarification from Metcalf's management is heavily suggestive of a Metcalf melt down actually....otherwise Cameron George would have said that Metcalf was taking time off with the clubs blessing.
Waiting for his management....in other words we don't know exactly wot these clowns are up to because they aren't being transparent....stay posted signed Cameron George.
I`m happy with Boyd doing as he`s told, taking it to the line and feeding the significantly more options than we`ve had in the past. Wingers scoring frequently is now a thing and a pretty good defence too.Ye fair call.
Just cautious, Our so called 2 best players are being released from contracts. So far he’s only had 2 shots to fight for the 7 fresh off an ACl.
And still cautious on Boyd. He’s had 6 years in the NRL before us, and 10 games with us last year and has been pretty bad through out up until now. I’ve course if he keeps building or even maintaining this form we’d be over the moon.
Also I think the writings been on the wall for a while now with Metcalf looking at his body language. Looking at Boyd and Mets n the sheds pregame they looked like strangers lol.
Are there suggestions the Bulldogs are considering offloading Matt Burton to us for LM?
Bro did you not see Tanah intentionally kicked into a Knights player exactly at the right angle so the ball would drop to Leka to give him a clear run to the line to scoreJury is still out on Boyd for me, but there’s definitely enough there to be hopeful. I just want to see him nail those real clutch moments first — game on the line, pressure kick, field goal, closing out tight contests. We’ve all seen players look the part during a purple patch before it unraveled.
The bigger concern is the uncertainty around CHT as well. If both he and Metcalf aren’t long-term certainties, that’s a lot of responsibility on young halves who are still developing alongside Boyd, who himself still needs a full consistent season under his belt.
And while Boyd and Metcalf looked great against the Knights, it’s fair to acknowledge Newcastle were missing key players like Ponga and Brown too.
**just heard Dave Riccio on NRL360, CHT will re-sign**
I’d have CHt over BurtonAre there suggestions the Bulldogs are considering offloading Matt Burton to us for LM?

What’s happened has happened incredibly quickly, which tells me that the undercurrents in and around the club over this were pretty major. The club felt it needed to step in quickly to end all the speculation and aggro around the situation and thereby enable the playing team to get on with the job of winning games, leaving all that shit behind them. Forever.
Once the decision was made, to ditch Mets for Boyd, they handled it pretty well. Not giving him game time, when his agent queried that, Boyd's contract was upgraded. The writing was on the wall for Mets’s agent. He stepped in again, said can we look around elsewhere, and quick as a flash the club said yes. This all happened so fast it was almost blink and you’ll miss it, but the steps taken weren’t too hard to interpret. Hats off to the club for acting so quickly and firmly: decision made, steps taken, job done. Just like that. We should be proud.
So we just won’t be seeing Luke Metcalf in a Warriors Jersey ever again. That ship has sailed. Has left the harbour, has reached open waters and is on course for its new destination. Etc etc
Brent Read backing up the mail I shared the other day about Perth not being interested in LM.
Fairly certain he lands in Sydney
Surely the sensible option is that if Luke finds another team he goes now? Maybe that brings Hanson/Cleary into NRL earlier than is ideal, but is that worse than one of your highest paid players not wanting to be here and - it appears - in a snit with your halfback 'cos he TERK MAH JERB!
Sounds like it's Bulldogs or Dragons, can't see why Luke would want either of those destinations, but beggers can't be choosers...
Perth very big it seems about wanting - but not wanting too obviously - help from the NRL.that was good mail. Please ask your friend the below and report back hastily:
- Is there any truth to reports Mal and Ben Gardiner have had a falling out because Mal perceives him as a 'threat'?
- Is there any truth to reports Ben Gardiner is not allowed to speak to the media? (outside of his weekly SEN appearance)
- Why are Perth appearing to be such a basket case already with multiple senior admins leaving?
- Is there any truth to the rumours that Mal may be out the door before the season even starts?
- Why do Perth not have a jersey yet and insist on promoting their signing in a black t-shirt as if they are collating a group of bouncers.
- Why have Perth trusted someone to run their social off a program like clip-art?
- How do Perth feel about being instilled as complete unbackable $1.10 favs to win the spoon next year?
I will wait.
This is so off topic, I deserve a ban but we've all gone a bit crazy the last week
Presumably Burton as a centreI’d have CHt over Burton

I am really surprised that the Aussie media seem to be approaching this as being slightly more pro-club
This was a prime opportunity to shit on the club, but they were actually kinda..... reasonable?
What they're essentially saying is 100% true tho, no single player is bigger than the club.
Once you let a player start dictating the terms, then you are on a very slippery slope to the whole house of cards falling down.
