Fair. I never take offense to anything anyone says, unless they're attacking our Lord and savour Andrew Webster.
Now we get to enjoy the various NRL podcasts from tonight. I love watching them when we have a good win.
I bet most of the attention will actually be on Brisbane "being back" rather than us announcing ourselves as contenders. Just ridiculous that Brisbane premiership odds actually shortened more in dollar terms ($26 to $17) than us ($15 to $9.50) over the weekend.
They have a weird format, talk up the team winning then spend a minute on the losing side as if they're attending a funeral lol, that change of tone still gives me whiplash
I'm actually surprised that DK has such a soft spot for us given his bad experience with us as a player which he has been very public about.
I feel like Covid kinda wiped the slate clean for all of that.
Excuse me, it'll likely be more Galvin, Galvin and maybe some more Galvin! I mean he did get the NRL play of the round with that try, which is obviously the pick over Papalii scoring 2 tries and getting a conversion for his special game....

League in Aus in particular seems to be very 1 sport only or you’re a traitor type attitude.
Never understood why you’d limit yourself to only enjoying 1 sport?
It’s not like you only enjoy 1 genre of music/book/movie, there’s more than enough room for everyone
When I first moved to Aus my boss from Melbourne asked me what I thought of AFL (thinking I’d say it’s the greatest thing ever created) I answered it was like a group of excited puppies chasing a ball and not being able to keep it- it started a lecture that lasted quite some time about what he thought made it the greatest sport that the world loves- I was mistakenly pretty much dead to him from that point on from my faux pasThere is no greater troll than trolling AFL fans. Broncos improved their odds of winning the comp by 33%. We improved our odds by 37%.
Statistically (as you would expect) we improved our chances more than them.

When I visited Melbourne I was shocked at how massive it was there. It was reaching fever pitch levels for some game selling out at the MCG. They get weekly crowds the NRL can only dream about. It's quite evident though that the expansion clubs into N S W and Q L D have attracted little interest. Never been to a live game but can see the appeal. It's an atrocious watch on TV though.
