Cheers mate. I will holla like a banshee.
Honestly just say you wish to cancel and they will roll out the red carpet.
I used to have Foxtel and moved to Kayo- there’s a joke that it’s easier to quit smoking than it is to quit Foxtel - and it certainly went that way for me.
First of all I got all the offers under the sun - held fast and said no I’m leaving.
They then would call me everyday, if not twice, offering some ‘one time only’ deal to get me to stay, still I’d say no.
They kept calling everyday with the same shit for about 2 weeks, at first I’d answer and just say no but yet they’d ramble on about some hot new offer, I’d try make it very clear I had no interest yet they’d still keep calling, I’d hang up mid sentence yet they’d keep calling.
I tried not answering but they’d keep calling back, they tried calling with other numbers etc.
Only way I got them to stop is I went on a rant about it being harassment and if they didn’t stop calling I’d involve police, they then turned nasty and threatened to fine me $300 for the cost of their box if they didn’t receive it in 10 days (when I previously moved they just told me to throw out the box and they’d send a new one).
Glad to see the back of them and the only thing I guess I miss is the record function and ability to skip ads as they seem to be sneaking into every streaming service now.
Moral of the story is they are desperate to retain you and will certainly offer a better deal if you threaten to leave
