NRL NRL on Sky

NZWarriors.com

Pretty pathetic with how steep the subscription price is!
Isn’t this the way it goes, the premier events (men’s game) demand ever higher prices (and more pay for the players) so the providers need to pick best bang for buck instead of a bit of everything like the old days.

This is pro sport in action. And sky’s cost and coverage isn’t matched by the public’s wallet.

How much do you think the broadcast rights would've cost? Three fifths of fuck all?

There's now a bunch of miffed league fans all over social media chewing Sky out. Yes in the grand scheme of things it's not a massive deal, but it just adds to the feeling of constant penny pinching.

They'll have the Albanian Pro Underwater Hockey tournament live on Sky Sports 9, but presenting a half-baked Vegas despite being the self-proclaimed "home of league".

Sky service has just gotten worse and worse over the years.
When I first signed up many years ago.
Can't remember when.
Their promise was. NO ADVERTISING. IIRC

Whenever I buy sky the screen freezes regularly I think there is room for another player to provide better service.

I was hoping Spark Sport would be it but then everyone either complained about it or didn't embrace it. I suppose at least it forced sky into a streaming service for sport rather than just a set top box

Another thing Sky has done recently is remove or schedule to remove (I can't recall the exact date) the on demand from the older black box. It wasn't something I used much anyway besides occasionally getting a full season of a TV show.

I decided to upgrade to the new box. I went with the box instead of the pod as I wanted the option to record. Mainly the NRL and mainly the Warriors games if we win. So, the extra space is nice.

The last time it rained I got rain fade. So, during winter I was expecting the usual switch over to casting SkyGo when it rains. A few weeks later I got an email how the new box switches over to broadband if the connection to the satellite is gone. 🤔

Hey man, I agree.

Really depends what the rights holders wanted. Remember the context sky is so broke they are prepared to give away union and the All Black and have reduced their bid for the rights.

As more people get fed up with sky and leave the content will go down in a death spiral.
