I'm listened to David Mead interviewing Capewell 3 years ago and that was some great insight into him as well. It was not on a tight timer so they got to go deeper on some stuff.

Played Touch with and against Benji when he was a 15 year old and he was carving senior rep teams up even then with that mad step and all those crazy skills he took to the NRL.....not many can say they changed the way the game could be played.....but he was one of the few.

Shauns great at getting the insight u wouldnt otherwise get from players and ex players. U really notice they just open up more with him....especially on that Fox panel when their interviewing a player after a game and each host ask's their questions and get a pretty stock standard answer.....the moment Shaun gets to them u can see their guard drops straight away and they open up......think its the recently retired thing so they know he knows where their coming from, plus the amount of respect across the NRL for what he acheived and did in the game is obvious.

Really love the Wayne Bennett stories......damn that old codger"s the GOAT.

I enjoyed the Benji interview .
He’s still animated when he talks about moves he’s almost standing up doing flicks and sidesteps - he certainly did change a lot of kid’s behaviour and the Benji step and haircut were definitely popular
