That was ugly.

I reckon the main problem is the NRL has moved on but we haven't.

Everyone knows our standard game plan and that seems to be all we have. Although we've got some old tired cattle, there's still a tonne of experience there to be able to adapt to the requirements of what's happening on the field. But it ain't happening.

That's on the coach and the senior players. Losses aside, the worst thing I've seen over the last few weeks was the dumb arse captains challenge with a few seconds to go before half time. That just summed up our whole season and where our senior leaders aren't.

The quote thrown around on here a few times that a plan is all well and good until you get punched in the face is apt

We're getting punched a lot
We had an attack that was drawing praise for the bodies in motion and offering SJ multiple options on attack, it’s completely gone and we just look clunky. Defensively that was a better showing, just leaking two tries as opposed to the previous fortnight but putting ourselves under way too much pressure through ill discipline and poor handling. Honestly do think we need some refs to attend some training sessions to figure out the ill discipline and what we’re doing so differently to others, why are we offside so much more than other teams in recent weeks where we’re copping 6 agains and not coping?

There were certainly some calls that baffled me. I missed the Ford one live but was he put on report for a hip drop? Seemed to be nowhere near the legs but hey I'm old and shoulda gone to specsavers.

Still think the Dallin in the air no try should have been a PT and 10 in the bin. Rules seem subjective once again.

Probably because last week was fucking atrocious.

Opposition getting fast ptb = losing the ruck
soft penalties = losing the ruck
Zero attack in the redzone = losing the ruck
PTBs were exact same for both teams. There was a period back end of first half where they were rolling through though.
Weather had a lot to do with the zero attack, both teams struggled.

Must be a mystery as why we are fucking useless and now in the bottom 4. Certainly not the fault of our powderpuff 2nd row.
PTB stat is an average though. there were definitely sets where we had to leap off them but the next set with ball in hand they were piling on and slow peeling.

Tohu especially looks fucken tired. Feel like we've poorly planned his transition out of the team.
Give him a week off. Bring someone up from cup who can at least dominate a tackle.
Our inability to dominate is causing the domino effect everywhere. Its whats driving the penalty counts, its whats driving the problems on defence. Its whats stagnating the attack.

Our backs physically dominate their opposition, thats why we get that 1,2,3 quick roll on. But as we hit the guys with double digits on their backs, we lack any punch. Slow PTBs, crabbing sideways, pushed into touch. The rot has crept down the the numbers too.
When we had Metcalf the ranking were like
6 - B
7 - A
8 - A
9 - A

Now its
6 - D
7 - C
8 - A
9 - C

to add to
11 - D
12 - D
13 - D

The whole team looks low energy, how is that possible with a 10 day turnaround?!
Got me thinking.
When did they fly over?
Titans flew over Monday for a Thursday game.
And won.
We prob flew over Friday pm and bus to New and were dog tired.

Theres gotta be an investigation!!!
