I see it as an easing in, have him around the NRL boys for a week, maybe two, see what NRL's like. Prep, rehab, nutritition, media...I think its just recognizing his form for the season, i cant see him debuting over toeava.
Then he goes back to NSW, told to work on whatever.
He works on that Whatever, he's suddenly in the 17. Debut Time.
I always regard the NSW Cup and making players ready for NRL as a bit of NSW/NRL/NSW/NRL chop-and-changing as appropriate to the player and their development.
Prime example is The More Talanted Cleary. Total disaster to promote him to NSW and then so quickly to have him around the NRL Team. Slow and steady. Especially as the promotion was unexpected - if it was going to happen at some time this season, I don't think anyone anticipated it happening now and for so long...
