Someone else pointed it out earlier I think, but for me it was his total loss of composure that I was most concerned about in the kickoff dead to add to the missed opportunities. There was nothing wrong with a his game apart from that in all aspects and like mentioned his goal kicking was important, but in his position that’s what you rely on is someone to ice those moments. CHT has been mentioned, but we know he also struggles in those moments. It wouldn’t be fair to let this define him and he deserves further opportunities but I was also concerned by his body language when Halasima scored that try he was reluctant to join in in celebrations and think this would have really knocked his confidence. Was good to see JFH around him and CHT came back from disappointment last year in the same position looking solemn in the dressing rooms, fortunately though for Boyd Halasima saved his blushesyeah I don't get the intense hate he is getting atm. I thought overall he guided us around the park well.
His massive boot is an asset for our game style of boxing in our opposition inside their half. He did this supremely well against Wests the whole game last week and I thought he did it last night as well for extended periods. He was just lacking a little bit of polish at the end of some of our attacking sets. But this is his 2nd game in over a year. People putting the boot in (like Moley) are being unreasonable.
He slots all of those goal kicks and field goals 9 times out of 10 as we have seen all year in cup. He'll be revved to go against next week against his old joint.
