There's an interview with Webby on Newstalk ZB this evening that you should be able to listen on demand. Very honest and informative and started to talk about how they can improve on their edge defense, but said he can't give away too many secrets. Also said he thought he was watching the All Blacks when they awarded the Greg Marzhew try 🤣.

I have no issue with Boyd..so the guy missed a couple of drop goals under huge pressure..and did a bad restart that went dead.we have all seen Sj and Pompey do much worse multiple times...I like the look of him he will be fine.

A bunch of people saying it proves that he is not a clutch player haven't got a clue.

Most of them have only really watched Boyd play two games of Rugby league.

He clearly got the yips at the end. But nothing wrong with that. Most players would.

I didn’t realise he was so young. He’ll learn, hopefully part of a good system, good forwards, he’ll gain some confidence.

Will take him a bit to gel with cht, metcalf and cht seem to have complimentary styles, Tanah seems to play structures quite well.
He’s going to have his mistakes and his b games and c games but I actually think he’ll come really good under Webster vs an curmudgeon like Hasler
He still had some nice touches earlier in the game. I also liked his 40/20 attempt he tried to take advantage of vs a hobbling opposition fullback

Im sure Boyd feels terrible. He knows what he needed to do and he couldn't make it happen on the day. We don't need to get into him too. He is still relatively new. If he has the goods he'll figure it out. Along with support from Webby and his team mates. Let's give him a decent chance.
Shaun Johnson missed sooooo many field goal attempts. Or even forgot to make an attempt sometimes. And most still love him. It's not the end of everything although he may feel that way.

Next week is another opportunity for Tanahwah to show what he can do.

Oh I like the name Tanahwah just realised it rhymes with Taniwha

I might be imagining this but judging from Body language - after Gagai in the Knights pressers gave the best answers I have heard this year from a playing captain at a presser - O'Brien's ego looked like he had been upstaged and didn't like it.
While Webby is very supportive of his captains speaking and doesn't feel threatened at all and his body language is that he is quite interested to hear what they have to say. Wayne Bennett also is relaxed and doesn't care when his captain speaks but several of the new coaches with the exception of Webster seem competitive during the pressers.

Wow, not even a mention on NRL 360.

Headlines:
1. Galvin pass
2. Sea Eagles v Storm
3. Papalli might resign with Raiders

I dont know why I was expecting anything different but man.
Be surprised if he’s not voted player of the week that he’s nominated. Certainly very obvious now though there’s a definite perception to avoid anything to do with the Warriors

Yeah it was weird as they were talking about controversial bunker decisions as well.

Boyd's last 5-10 minutes had a few moments that weren't great.

The kick off would be my main concern.

The first drop goal would have been nice. But drop goals are pretty difficult. He wasn't far off with that one.

The second one was one of those messy ones you get at the end of games when players all rush up. My kids thought it was funny as he nearly falcon'd the ref.

The penalty from the second drop goal shows the benefit good challenges and having one late in the game.

The penalty would have been nice. Overall though the last few weeks his kicking has been good.

We don't have a coach that will drop as quickly as he had at the Titans. Instead he'll get some attention from Webster this week and some confidence shown in him.

He'll be keen to fix that last 10 minutes and gets to turn it around against his old club next week.

My biggest concern is he dropped his head.

Can't be doing that as the halfback of a top 4 team.

He is good enough, but does he believe that himself?

Moment of the week was West Tigers drop goal as well.

Haha blimey…
I try to focus on our media. Laura Monty and Honey and whoever the fuck the 4th dude is gave us a hell of a reaction to Leka's try. They fan boi'd over him. Monty went next level praising him and said "You the man Leka" Twice looking into the camera. It was a fantastic heart felt outpouring from those long suffering commentators.
