Yep
Healey always looks dangerous around ruck
With tiring forwards
I know Wahs outgunned in fwds against Panthers
But we had hardly any ball too
On that premise, would potentially have been better to play Healey over Egan. Quiet game for Egan, though he made 44 tackles but was pinged for being inside the 10 twice and quiet in all other facets. He missed the sharks game for what has probably been our best performance of the season

Healey is a huge talent, but his way into first grade needs to be with minutes off the bench.
There is a big difference between shining in one off appearances and doing it week in week out in first grade.

At the moment TMM is getting that bench spot due to his versatility but hopefully Healey gets another crack soon. We aren't dropping Egan even if has had a couple of quieter weeks

Healey and TMM went well against sharks in the way they were used, perhaps whatever kept Egan out of that game is still troubling him? I personally don’t see carrying Healey over TMM wins us the game against panthers and think losing Niukore and DWZ played a bigger part. Webster has said they’d rather carry a utility than a backup hooker, perhaps that’s because TMM can cover positions of players carrying slight niggles?

For a long time I have thought Webster desire to play Egan as a close to 80 minute player has been detrimental. I thought this year with Egan performing really well in early longer minute games that maybe this has changed, my personal opinion (no evidence) is that as we have got to the mid season mark the multiple big minute games have began to take there toll on Egan again. In my mind his body is capable of 55-60 minutes per game and we should have specialist cover ie Healey to play the other 20ish

He’s not picking up the head knocks but not having the same impact as earlier in the season

Feels like we're limping to the finish line called the 3rd bye round and restart.

What a weird situ, AKL too cold this year, everyone getting stiff when rested? 🤣

I think Egan has a strong desire to play Origin oneday, you can see him building up to it then crashing after.
I hope that he picks himself up a bit as he will get the chance to play finals this season, another bye coming up can only be a positive for recovery.
