Cycle lanes and public transport haven't reached Northland yet. This is such boomer energy. "Old man shakes fist at cloud"
If you drive a car, you want more money spent on mode-shift infrastructure. To get other people out of their cars.

Isn't he the Deputy PM.Is this really something worth reporting on? From what I’ve heard, away from the media, Winnie has been a total professional.
You forgot to add "Thanks National"Cycle lanes and public transport haven't reached Northland yet.
Are these govco dept names getting changed back to Pakeha words or staying as māoriTo tell you the truth, when they were talking about the cost of Kianga Ora yesterday I though they were talking about Oranga tamariki and wondered what the fuss was all about![]()
Both would be goodAre these govco dept names getting changed back to Pakeha words or staying as māori
Get in touch with the national party, think you can learn on the taxpayers. To tell you the truth, when they were talking about the cost of Kianga Ora yesterday I though they were talking about Oranga tamariki and wondered what the fuss was all about![]()

I m not on top of this stuff being located in the West IslandBoth would be good
Eg Nz transport Waka Katoi
Partnership = Te Reo and English
That could be a fair compromise but it really seems like there’s more pressing things needing attention rather than this be apart of a first 100 day commitment. Both would be good

Partnership = Te Reo and English
Nothing against Te Reo, in fact I support more multilingual like most of overseas but like overseas, use all languages to communicate.
Gotta learn to keep up Wiz .To tell you the truth, when they were talking about the cost of Kianga Ora yesterday I though they were talking about Oranga tamariki and wondered what the fuss was all about![]()
Mate we had a lot to do with the Ministry of Education and all new stuff was in Te Reo to the extreme.Get in touch with the national party, think you can learn on the taxpayers.
Just Luxons penchant for getting rid of anything Labour whatever the cost or outcomeThat could be a fair compromise but it really seems like there’s more pressing things needing attention rather than this be apart of a first 100 day commitment.
Have a look at cyclists in Christchurch - it’s the exact opposite. It’s the ride of choice for the down and outers. Not many wear helmets or cycle in a straight line either. People don’t cycle in Auckland as it’s muggy and hilly and full of cars! I’d like to see e-bikes subsidised (although not in the way the e vehicle one worked, that just was a handout for the wealthy).I'd like to see cyclists pay an annual registration fee and have their bike and safety gear checked and certified.
The odd cyclist I've seen in Auckland have only been in wealthy suburbs. It really is a rich mans mode of transport or hobby.
Why should poor folk driving an old car have to subsidise these rich pseudo greenies.
I cycle around Auckland. I'm probably one of the few that enjoys the hills. But as someone that grew up in a small town the cycling around a city is a bit daunting. I have a different view on the ride two a breast now. In smaller centres yes but in the cities with cars parked on the side and that there is more of a chance for cars going in both directions as well it really is pushing the limits on how the space can be used. Especially on the road bikes people use to ride around town as you feet are clipped in to the pedals so you need anticipate when you need to stop and look for hazards.Have a look at cyclists in Christchurch - it’s the exact opposite. Reti in a tough position.
Hopefully the report gets leaked. The report is due at the end of the year, the work would already have been done.
The only motivation to push this under urgency is to prevent the report coming out.
