I am sure some are rorting it but there is definitely an autism pandemic. My son has special needs ( not autism ) and does special Olympics, the majority 80%+ have autism or something similar, I can tell you none of them are faking it, some that I would say can't compete in a mainstream team don't pass the qualification for Special Olympics so they must be able to test for it.My guy, you cant be that naive.. The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders is widely available online. Probably 75% of is is nonfalsifiable. i.e you cant test for it. You could read the diagnostic criteria for depression, present those symptoms to 10 drs and 9 will diagnosis and prescribe.
Plus the diagnostic criteria for autism is piss weak
- Persistent deficits in social communication and social interaction
- Restricted, repetitive patterns of behavior, interests, or activities, as manifested by at least two of the following
Haha $35K please. PER CHILD
Anyway my point is really that I don't remember any kids like this when I was at school, now autism is so common. What is causing it?
