In answer to 1, when do they structurally lock it in? The right always reverse and then put us in huge amounts of debt paying for tax cuts we can't afford that benefit the rich1 - there is no fair, just opinion. Why do the left get to decide ever increasing tax is fair and then structurally lock it in?
2 - donβt really understand your point. Most govt of any kind does whatβs best for their supporters rather than everyone. Eg Ardernβs captain calls.
Donβt mention or care about the pandemic. I was double vaccinated and think the govt was in a no win situation. Think the lockdowns and mandates went to far but thatβs in the past.
Iβm not talking about the right and the US. Iβm talking about horseshoe politics where the extremes of the left and right do extreme things
Fact is, as I've mentioned many times, we haven't had a left leaning government since forever. Only a more socially equitable one that evens things up after decades of favouring the rich.
Extremes are no good for anyone.
