The.problem you have is I'm fairly central, along with the majority of the population here. You are the extreme one and in the minority. So I appreciate you can't form a sensible argument that stands up to scrutiny but it doesn't change reality.

I think with Trumps vindictive nature it would be suicide to step out of line and it’s got to be at the UN or EU level that there is pushback.

As mentioned a fair bit in here, Trump and Putin have been attacking the EU and the UN for quite some time, clearly deliberately I believe.

Same type of wording used. Killing is obviously bad but has to be taken to the extreme by calling it genocide. It's a common trope these days. And if you believe it is you aren't going to be swayed, and if you don't believe it is, the same. And just like many other things that get debated like they are black and white, there is far more to it and far more complex than many want to acknowledge. If you want to discuss this further put it in the right thread.

I think this is a disaster in the making if we allowed that.
I think we have it right. Made the right call on Gaza, which is becoming more and more correct as time goes on. I think the Government should take the required time and make a statement on behalf of NZ when the time is right. Plenty of people including opposition MPs rush in and have their say but ultimately that's easy for them when they don't have any other considerations to worry about
