I'd love for Kane to get at least 21 more runs so each English batsman can be "reminded" when they come to the crease that one of our Batsman scored more than their entire first innings.
I wonder if Southee will be the next batsman in? Apparently, he only has to score two more sixes in test cricket to become one of only four batsmen in history to score over 100 sixes in test cricket.... two of the others are with the current English side (Baz {107} and Stokes {133}). The other is Gilchrist (from Oz) who has 100. The most surprising thing is comparing how many actual runs they scored to Southee (2,243).... Stokes (6,719), Baz (6,453) and Gilchrist (5,570). All the others scored multiple 100's while Southee hasn't scored any with a HS of 77. (Figures from cricinfo
