After giving the halves 6 rounds to start the year you would expect Boyd would have been giving a decent stretch to prove himself.

The start of the season there is a bit less pressure in terms of the competition table etc.

Also show the difference with winning most weeks. A bit more stability.

We don't know if it is a on field form decision, tactical decision or something else.

My fear coming into the season having to replace Johnson was the stability in the halves. Often sides replacing a long term half end up chopping and changing trying to find the right guy or combination. It was great having that stability for most of the season.

@Inruin How you feeling about tonight my friend? Sounds like TMM to 7, this is what you'd been hoping all season.

Considering how well he played at 7 last year, I'm hoping the forwards lay a decent platform for him so he has a bit of space
Not sure about this game with the weather. Assuming TMM is at 7. I think Boyd has been a bit hard done by but probably not a good idea having both him and CHT in the halves. TMM has also been playing utility off the bench so hopefully he has enough reps in this week at training. Cautiously optimistic.

Not sure If I would be keen on a CNK and CHT combination.

I assume the thinking is similar to Magic Round I think it was last year where Webster said their plan isn't a secret. Basically with CNK wanting him to run a lot.

I've liked what CHT has done this year a lot more than what he has done in the past at 7.

It has seemed like they have a defined role for him and letting him come in and kick or run the play when required as suited him. Instead of taking on a dominant role. If he does play 7 hopefully his confidence is high and he owns it.

In coaching you need to make the calls and back yourself. Let's hope whatever formation they put out it works.
