Looks like we going for a more attacking style game plan in the wet which the bulldogs seem to struggle with... Boyds long kick will be missed, Taine will be put under pressure with the bomb, Kikau seems to slow right down in wet weather.. I'm quietly confident we get the win
Can be looked at from the other angle of Bulldogs keeping it in closer in the wet with a lot of unders plays back at the half so a better defender in TMM helps there.

Taine also has a nice boot, so him stepping in on the right for deeper territory kicks ala Walsh is an idea also.

I think with Wegan out indefinitely, I don't really feel Boyd suits the style of a Healey hooker very well anyway.

It's much less structured and you probably want a fast thinking ad-lib half who can react off those cues and put something on which is TMM in a nutshell.

The kicking situation isn't ideal, but we'll see how it goes first. Despite our ladder position we've been on a heavy slide since the Cronulla game. A bit of outside the box thinking was needed to try salvage what was shaping up to be a steady top four finish before all the injuries.

He gets fed around here for being to cookie cutter, so I applaud Webby for getting a bit creative. The personell we have available doesn't perfectly suit the original game plan, so moving to a bit more ad-lib gives us a chance to potentially turn our fortunes around.

Just saw Adam Gee is ref tonight. He’s a right Kent and we never get the run of the green when he’s in charge. Will penalise us outta the 1st 60 mins and then give a couple late ones our way to try and square things up
We've had all the big Kahuna ref's recently...

It feels unfair to give Boyd so few games with a ever changing front row and then boot him. I really hope some in the media question webby on it. I dunno, maybe there is a clear reason for it? But it feels short sighted with TMM not resigned for next year and Metcalf out till at least round 2... I just don't get it. If he is number 6 maybe it indicates he could be the 6 to a Metcalf 7 next year.

It's the right call.

He showed he's a reserve grade halfback.

Could be any number of reasons Tanah was sent down eh.

Every chance it has nothing to do with on field issues.
