Injuries are the cause of our form slump, Gee was the reason for our loss tonight
Well said and too the point.

This year I have taken to becoming removed from the Games when the Ref goes off like that.

Have to be philosophical and no longer see it as a contest.

Last week hurt a lot more because we were in the contest.

This week I clocked off early and the game became somewhat watched from afar, on my cloud of numbness...no substances involved, just mental meditation.
stopping giving a shit really works!

I’m chill. You must be happy with us being average
I’m just a realist given the context of our injuries mate. Watch the broncos crumble without Reynolds & mam. We’ve lost our captain, hooker, centres, halfback & were still in the fight to play finals. I’m not content with average, I’m just a realist with where this team is at & the curveballs being constantly thrown at them.

Man the regular deebie downers are out in force tonight!

We lost our starting 7 early, whilst not having our starting hooker, captain, centre, whilst the dogs missed Montoya & Tracy. They’re essentially full strength, at home, playing like a top 4 side & needed a bounce back after getting pumped by the tigers. The ref didn’t help & he showed to quickly try even the penalty count in the last 10 mins when the game was gone to make it look like he reffed fair.

We’re a side down on confidence, down in troops & it’s showing. The reality is, we’re not a top 4 side, nor are we playing like it. That doesn’t discount all the heavy lifting we’ve already done to deserve to be in finals footy. We’re probably the 6-8th best side imo if we can get some troops back.

We just have to accept this year as a development year & move on. This year’s still been a mammoth success imo with the unearthing of some juniors who will play for many years at the warriors, have had incredible exposure to what the NRL is & will be better for it.

Chin up ya sooks. We got beaten by a better side but it’s not all bloody doom and gloom, sheesh!

Don’t disagree with any of that, however the seasons over.

Before the game there was debate on the halves.

If it would be TMM and CHT or CHT and CNK with TMM on the bench.

It would have been good to not have to see both combinations. The second one minus the TMM on the bench due to the HIA.

This has to be a gee up, surely.

We looked absolutely fucking diabolical for about 95% of that game.

As for a development year - we were sitting extremely comfortably in the top 4 with a perceived extremely soft run home, and we're shitting the bed.

We have some young talent coming through but we've also got 3 Kiwis captains in our starting team, and other guys like Capewell who have played a lot of Origin. To call it a development year is papering over the cracks and is frankly a cop out.

Just treat the next 4 games as knockout footy. Must win ie september starts now for us.

Control what we can, go back to doing the things we did well at the start.

Bur for whatever reason the club js cursed in losing players

It’s nothing to do with the ref, we’ve just got a heap of injuries & can’t compete anymore. We try to compensate for that by pushing the rules & get penalised. Stop looking for scapegoats. The evidence was clear to see against the Tigers & it’s just got worse since then. Could be wrong however without a big upset I don’t see us winning again this season. Really disappointing given how many close games we won earlier in the season however we simply don’t have the cattle.

I’m just gonna rap that up as an excuse, we have the cattle in this side and cup to do something with what we have left of this season. But the way things are going it’s not looking good

Plenty of effort from the team. Injuries to key players have hurt the team and the ref tonight was awful. The decision to drop Boyd was costly as his longer kicking game was missed. Losing TMM to HIA ensured Warriors would never get a result.

Hard to fault the team as the effort was there......they will beat the Dragons next week.
