year 2, implement some rats and mice policies for their backers
year 3, campaign, vote for us this time we'll really do something if we aren't in coalition, promise.

17% of transport was supposed to be by cycle now to justify the huge cycle way investment.

Its stubbornly stayed under 1% with Auckland council now saying if Aucklanders won’t support it they will cut investment… should have realised this BEFORE wasting billions when cyclings never going to work in Auckland.

I support public transport but it has to be appropriate to the size of the city, how and where people want to go and not a giant white elephant that stops all future public transport project because it bankrupts us.

The councils have been anti-car, so like with co-governance there will is a big backlash and bad will which will do more harm than good for the cause. You gotta take the people with you.
