Correct, and this specific group are their own community in the Auckland CBD. They’re there because they choose to be.Rotorua homeless numbers have gone from an eyesore to almost non existent.
Maybe the homeless that got shovelled into Rotorua over covid have gone back where they were.
And homelessness is an addiction and mental health problem. If it was a poverty problem, show me the equal numbers of woman and children living on the streets to me.
The new response plan to bring in defence forces and intel agencies seems a good idea though, credit where it's due if it's successful in shutting down the importing.
From their hard talking prior to the election until now use has doubled. Agree something has to be done, and intelligently, cohesive, and all parties should be across thisThe new response plan to bring in defence forces and intel agencies seems a good idea though, credit where it's due if it's successful in shutting down the importing.
Starting to get a bit desperate when you have to cherry pick something to try and make a point and it's on something they are actually implementing a response plan. The new response plan to bring in defence forces and intel agencies seems a good idea though, credit where it's due if it's successful in shutting down the importing.

Does anyone think that the availability of pseudo flu based products over the counter has anything to do with the meth use increase recently. From their hard talking prior to the election until now use has doubled. Paradox of tolerance, Karl PopperExcellent journalism from Newsroom demonstrating clearly the undue influence of hard right thinktanks on this government via proxies like the Free Speech Union, which of course is ACT based in the first place
Time and time again the fallacy of those exhorting "free speech" on the right is proven. Free speech to those who cry about it loudly on the right only means their own speech, often full of hate and bigotry, not that of others. Others, those outside the narrow right umbrella , must be shut down, legislated so if necessary.
The trumpism on New Zealand politics, driven by the hard right and the corrupt ACT party.

Only reason while it's lower is because of the exodus to Australia.... otherwise they would have stayed knowing Labour would just have taxed the rich more.Lots of left whinging about the unemployment rate and blaming National.
In the lead up to the 2023 election - under Labour, treasury forecast 5.4% unemployment during this recession. We’re marginally below that at 5.3% for context.
Well done Nicola Willis/ Luxon for keeping the unemployment rate better than Labours forecasts.
I could genuinely see NZ first forming a government with labour and greens in the next election. It’s a couple of times now that Luxon has taken credit for getting things over the line to which Peters has corrected him both times with simply we achieved this, rather than Luxon’s I achieved this. In the game of politics, all Peters said was he wouldn’t work with an Ardern led labour after they turfed him, I don’t think he’s on the same page as national and they they largely want to achieve?Makes the fan fiction written in this thread look quite goofy - A member of the government / ex deputy PM says it’s a fail.
