Watch out
On paper their team looks really good.

Here is my Wrighty Analysis

Fullback - advantage Dragon
Wings - Warriors by a whisker
Centers - Dragon
Halves - Warriors
Props - Tie (since Ford is playing)
Hooker - Warriors
Second Row - Tie
Lock - Warriors

Bench - Dragons by a whisker

Summary -
Dragons 3 advantages (one by a whisker)
Warriors 4 advantages (one by a whisker)

This will go down to the wire.
If we were not down on troops I would say we would win - but this is anybody's game. King Togia is a good addition for them.

I see where you're coming from here but beg to disagree - perhaps the only area they're ahead of us is at the back with Gutherson - reckon we're all over them in the second row (albeit Su'a has been good this year and he'll be looking for a correction after his terrible handling on the weekend) and in the centres Suli has been poor this year

They have Val Holmes at centre

and on the bench they have Leilua and Debelin - our two best bench players are second year players Vaimauga and Laban.

Every week on this forum it is the same dynamic of pumping up the opposition and putting down our side. Maybe it is a natural defense mechanism triggered by warriors PTSD but it really is stretching reality (and getting annoying). The dragons are a bottom 8 side- they've been beaten by the eels, bunnies, roosters and tigers. All these sides are sitting outside of the 8 with the exception of the tigers. You can come up with any excuse you like (ie our bad record in the gong, or our injury situation) but the fact is if we want to be a serious top 4-6 team this year, this is not a game we should be dropping.

Even with our injuries, we are collectively a stronger side than the dragons. They have inexperience across the park, both through the middle and on the edges, which has been exposed every single game they have played this year. If we turn up as we have the last 3 weeks, we shouldn't have a problem coming away with the 2 pts.

Last year we allowed them to totally dominate the middle - absolutely steamrolled us.

I don't see that happening this week. Certainly a tough opposition in

Dragons forum says about the same about us. They see Metcalf in his good form. They see their defensive issues. Have a young bloke on their bench that is in line to debut. As mentioned this morning in here, their bench is strong. Heads up to see who their young bloke is. Should be another hard slog but I can see us putting on points in a couple of clumps but not an all out hiding like Melbourne gave us. Funny my mood this week is upbeat compared to week 2 hahaha

I'm not saying it is going to be an easy game. With another cloudy forecast, it's probably going to be another grindy 1-12 game unfortunately. But let's not pretend that the dragons are anything but a bottom 8 side. We are a better side period. And the boys will prove it on Saturday.

I don't see that happening this week. Certainly a tough opposition in Wollongong though.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's another close one.

Warriors 20 - 16 Dragons
In my view, last year's middle performance was completely self inflicted by Webby's puzzling use of the bench (ie no use at all). When you are playing 17 v 13, of course you are going to lose the middle. This year Webby has clearly learned from his mistakes last year and his bench use has been on pt. So I expect us to win the middle battle as we have done for most of the year. We are third in the comp for average running meters for a reason. Conversely the dragons are 14th (bottom 4).

I appreciate your positivity, s/w, but I believe that this competition is so tight we cannot be complacent. The Dragons nearly beat the Tigers last week but for a dropped ball over the line resulting in a try at the other end so they are no mugs. It is better to be cautious than confident (ask the coach)
