Every week on this forum it is the same dynamic of pumping up the opposition and putting down our side. Maybe it is a natural defense mechanism triggered by warriors PTSD but it really is stretching reality (and getting annoying). The dragons are a bottom 8 side- they've been beaten by the eels, bunnies, roosters and tigers. All these sides are sitting outside of the 8 with the exception of the tigers. You can come up with any excuse you like (ie our bad record in the gong, or our injury situation) but the fact is if we want to be a serious top 4-6 team this year, this is not a game we should be dropping.

Even with our injuries, we are collectively a stronger side than the dragons. They have inexperience across the park, both through the middle and on the edges, which has been exposed every single game they have played this year. If we turn up as we have the last 3 weeks, we shouldn't have a problem coming away with the 2 pts.

Halasima keen on a premiership here

Pretty f*cking cool that Taumalolo and Fifita have almost singlehandedly revived the Pacific Islands rugby league - for someone like Leka who has the world at his feet to say he's repping Tonga from day one.

If we think Tonga and Samoa are looking good now, imagine what they'll be like in 10 years.

It's a bit tough at the moment, because every Aussie player is stepping it up for origin auditions.

I'll give pomps his flowers though, hes throwing punches with the best of them at the minute.
Pompey has a thing for Val, like Olsen Filipaina had a thing for Wally Lewis.

In fact very few Centers get the better of Pompey, as a defensive center he is one of the best in the NRL.

It shits me that he is so underrated around here coz he doesn't break tackles or go the length of the field.

Also Pompey is growing in attack.

Pompey is our best outside back. The first picked. I wouldn't trade him for anyone in the NRL, he has personal qualities that this team will need moving forwards.

He is humble, and these young bucks are gonna need some of that around them. He is hard working. They need that around them too. And he punches well above his weight and everyone at the Warriors knows it.

They All know he is the ugly duckling. He has got where he is today through his work ethic.

Role model much.

The Warriors are in the top four because of their defence. The hardest position to defend is Center.

Pompey is their best defensive player period. CHT and Erin Clark are in the same conversation but for lateral movement and reading the attacking plays Pompey is the best we have (CHT and CLark have people running straight at them trying to out muscle them, Pompey has multiple guys running quick shifts and angle changes).

The fact that we have RTS DWZ and JFH out and are still 6-2 astounds me

Been thinking about it for a while now even if it’s been stated a few times. Feels really nice to be a warriors fan at the moment.
The reffing in our games has been oddly consistent too so far, incorrect calls and howlers pretty evenly split for both sides.
Haven't actully noticed any bias against us at all, if anything it's been quite favourable. That astounds me too.
I can't get used to it, is this what not being a basket case feels like?
