Munster would stand out for me unless he is a 7Only one I can think of who would be better is Matt Burton?
I dunno, I thought this would be easier to refute than it actually was..
Attack wise we can adjust our numbers slightly. Once we have a couple of setller tackles that get us in the middle of the field. Getting extra numbers on the side you go to gives you so many more options to run slingshots, overlaps, pick your runner. It's how we got skinned by Manly on the outsides.
But in the red zone. Our 2023 attack shapes are still valid in these variations:
Short passes aimed at multiple middle and edge runners. Our runners are key to making defenders make choices. Luke and CHT need to have attacking choices to go with the shapes we throw.
Even though Leka's try was against soft defence it was aided by Leiataua running at them too. That kind of stuff
TBH I was one of Chanel's harshest critics over the last few years, but I really can't fault what he's doing at the moment.
We're winning, so he's doing his job currently.
Previous to this year, his last 2 years for us he played 21 games at 5/8, scoring 3 tries and having 8 try assists, which is quite poor for a half.
This year in 6 games he's had 5 try assists and 2 tries which means he's quite high up on the lists for halves this year. So, a pretty massive turnaround from what he has provided for us previously.
Happy to eat my words from the last few years. If he keeps this up he'll be a big reason why we finish the year in the top 8

I get that. It's great having x factor and being able to score from long range but our points differential is precarious. I just reckon we have more points in us
Maybe I am a bit high off this victory but I think we can beat the sharks. On paper, they probably have the biggest pack in the comp but I think they are almost too big and lack mobility. The smaller, fitter and faster dogs pack kept leaving their middles on the ground with super fast ruck speed in their rd 4 game. Also Hynes has the same tendency to choke under pressure that Reynolds/Hunt/Walsh did on Saturday when their team was on the backfoot for much of that game against us.Having beaten Brisbane this year I look forward to going up against the table topping dogs, panthers and sharks as well. Because I want our guys to belt those dog mongrels (I still have time for Curren and Monty). I want to beat Penrith and watch Fish against his old team. And I want Leka and Demetric to overcome the force that is Addin
We are relying heavily on the xfactor we have. The number of tries we have scored either from an opposition mistake or through an individual player doing something is great but a big concern. This has gotten us across the line on the back of our forward pack and defence giving us a big advantage. The number of tries that we have created by good attacking play is what gives me pause for concern. I don't see us blowing a team away this season with what I've seen so far. I don't see us having a game like we did against the Cowboys last year where we absolutely dominated them and put them away with good attacking play. We will need a massive shift in shape and execution for that to happen. I hope it does because we are laying the foundations for games really well, for the most part.
I am not too worried about the goal kicking, LM is usually pretty reliable. It is the drop goals that worry me. 25metres from in front should be a gimme. Get Grant Fox or similar in to give some pointers.I have thought about it and I think Pompey should be the kicker. Sure Adam misses the really hard ones but he nails the easy ones every time.
Good to see those goggles working. I wear them too, blind as without themI am not too worried about the goal kicking, LM is usually pretty reliable. It is the drop goals that worry me. 25metres from in front should be a gimme. Get Grant Fox or similar in to give some pointers.

The set up was rubbish. He had broncos on him as he kicked, was lucky to get a kick in at all. Maybe his fault too but we need to be better at the set up and the block or nobody is getting it overI am not too worried about the goal kicking, LM is usually pretty reliable. Don't think you are allowed blockers. I'm not sure why teams push into the 10m area before going for the drop goals. But gives the defenders less ground to cover to try a charge down. Also be good to have the backline set one way so if they rush we can spread it and possibly take advantage of numbers.Ya where were our blockers and he needs SJ to coach him how to run around rushing defenders and chip the ball over

Blockers or whatever you want to call them still have to be behind the 10 metersDon't think you are allowed blockers. I'm not sure why teams push into the 10m area before going for the drop goals.
