That penalty for a lifting tackle is the first time I have ever seen that rule applied to a tackle where the player wasn't being lifted by the legs
We are back in the top 4! This win, along with the tigers win, are the types of games you win if you end up having a successful season. 4-2.
This game gave the Dolphins game vibes from last year. Seriously undermanned against a top 4 opposition. But through sheer grit and determination, come up with the 2 pts. This is even more impressive given that Brisbane was essentially full strength and are considered a contender. These are the sorts of games that top 8 teams win.
Despite the GP outcome, no doubt we deserved to win this game. We were the better team over the whole 80 minutes. Props to LM. Could have dropped off after being 1/5 attempts. But he nailed the kick that mattered.
Also I'm sure that Kosi will get a lot of hate here for that blooper for the Broncos 3rd try. But overall I thought he had a solid game. Hope we just celebrate the win not trying to lay into the guy. He never stopped trying. Another person who gets a lot of shit on here is Marata who I thought had a great game. When he is on target, he is probably our most damaging edge player. Him and Leka outplayed the more fancied Brisbane second row.

What an absolute dogs breakfast of a game! Thank God we won that!
The last few years they were penalising back slams. Egan got back slammed a beauty. Nah thats fine.
I think we've had a few players tipped over and it's all good.
He let in two tries and the one he scored, any winger should have scored.
Maybe he should have played left wing like last time.
2nd one was Webby policy they just worked out to bypass the link man unfortunately Luke couldn’t shut it down, his own try wasn’t a gimme in wet conditions,, you’re welcome to try it yourself

They got back into it and started getting some numbers in the tackle. Also got a few good shots on which was good to see. Make the opposition think about who they are running at.
The attack wasn't fluid. A lot of that was the conditions. It would have been good to see how we'd look with Tuaupiki at the back and Halasima starting in better conditions.
