CNK at the back if he's fit. I like Tuapiki but he's not big enough to defend as the last line of defence and while he looks good scooting around with ball in hand nothing ever really comes of it. We seem to be using our fullback often on the 4th tackle and TT gets stopped as soon as he hits the defence. CNK has more impact there

Dallin has to go. He's just becoming a liability. I don’t know if Webby will make the call this week but surely it has to come. TT to take over as a fill in on the right wing while other options are explored

Leaiatua or Capewah at right centre depending on fitness. I'm probably leaning towards Ali but quite honestly I think we need to look at longterm replacents for our right side backs. Capes gives his all but as we saw yesterday he can get burned for speed. Ali and Rocco are too injury prone to be relied on at the moment.
I like the idea of Leka at right centre and I wouldn't put it past him to be a huge success but there's so much more to the position than scoring amazing tries. I dont know much about him pre first grade. Does he have the organised defensive skills to play the position?

As for the rest of the team rinse and repeat.
Maybe Healey to replace Martin at number 14. A 20 minute spell each half between him and Egan would certainly create some difference in the attack and stop the opposition getting complacent on defence. And if it doesn't work he can be hooked

The Tirans aren't going to be an easy win
The way Capes was benched [?... was he? wasn't at centre anyway] at the end of last night's game is probably an indication of where changes will be ... we had TMM on the left and pompey had moved to the right to fix the defence ... so we will have a new centre I think, personally I'd put Leka there to get him into space, preferably on the left with Rog ... Otherwise it's a straight swap of Ali in for Capes ... FB Idk, TT is a good defender, CNK on the other hand does exactly what is asked of him every game ... I'd move Marata into the front row as well

Noticed in the post match celebration he had his knee and quad/thigh iced. So if anything he either misses this game or reverts back to the edge.

I hope you're right CB. Our defence that edge is DWZ jamming in and the centre swooping around to cover the wing. Which works with a fast centre, and worked from the time Capes was hooked, clearly not 100%. Even so, DWZ's errors are making him a 50:50 pick.
I like TMM for centre and healey 14. We were crying out for the spark Healey brings in last nights game.
Newcastle had such a good gameplan and they exploited DWZ+Capewell superbly.
Leka to centre is appetizing. But Leka has the ability to excel in 11. I wouldn't mess with potential greatness by trying to make him a stop-gap elsewhere.

vs Newcastle we 'Got Out Of Jail'.

When we've done something like that in the past we've played the next few weeks like we can pull a rabbit out of a hat again if we need to, and lacked urgency until it's too late.

Let's hope Webby slaps that thought out of their heads this week and the aim up from kick off this week. I agree with above posts. Nothing certain about this game at all.

Outside of our center troubles I'm looking forward to a massive game this week for Boyd and Clark. I'm sure they'll be absolutely revving to go against the team that didn't want them. There is no way those two will let the team treat them lightly I'm sure.

Expecting Boyd to brush off the yips for this one. And Clark to run over RCG and who ever else is in the middle. I don't get the vibe that these titans games will be like last year if these two are playing against them with something to prove.

Yup, we need our "power" A game. Go through them and give them no ball and little time. The Tits seem to be in freefall at the moment but that shouldn't affect how we play.
CNK to centre and keep the rest as is other than maybe Healey to the bench for a point of difference. About time he had another shot.

Maybe not this week but we can't be far away from seeing how the TMM/TB thing goes in first grade. Killed it in cup although Webby is pretty conservative

All DWZ needs is someone next to him that can give him directions, maybe use similar sign language to the try scoring antics. He seems to be good with that.

Through the front door

What a bizarre post. To completely disregard an important part of the game makes no sense.

Penriths last 4 premierships included Dylan Edwards and To’o running huge meters to get them in good positions and start their sets well. Can you guess how many try assists Dylan Edwards contributed? He doesn’t make the top 50 in any year. The knock you seem to have on CNK is his try involvements.

This year there’s 1 FB in the top 10 for try assists. Our 2 halves this year are both in the top 25, even with Metcalf now out. If our halves are laying on tries isn’t that to our benefit that we don’t need to rely on our fullback to run huge meters AND create tries? And there’s no way you can say CNK isn’t good on defence. His ability to be in the right spots with the right reads to snuff out opposition attack is fantastic.

Your grudges against CNK and Egan must be personal to say stuff like that.

Anyway
1. CNK
2. DWZ
3. Leiataua
4. Pompey
5. RTS
6. CHT
7. Boyd
8. JFH
9. Egan
10. Niukore
11. Halasima
12. Capewell
13. Clark

14. TMM/Healey
15. Ford
16. Vaimauga
17. Laban
Like the input and the team, my only change would be Ali and pompey switching side to sure up the DWZ defensive efforts.

A Healey would go well against the Titans.

Question?

Does anyone here think we can go a other level come finals?

Other teams are starting runs and others may be peaking already, like the Raiders for example.

Is it okay that we are coasting along without looking great and maybe we lift come finals time? Or is this just us and we are lucky to be where we are?

Where has the notion that Halasima can seamlessly shift to Centre come from?
From the records I can find he played solely Second Row in the Dean Bell Cup in 2022 and Lock in a Future Warriors Selection that same year, the '23 SG Ball season at Lock, only 1 appearance out of his 30 appearances in NSW Cup has been at Centre and 20'ish minutes on debut, when he had moments of brilliance on attack but didn't excel defensively.
There's absolutely no need to burden him with a new role

As the ladder stands right now, Broncos & Penrith are the immediate threats to the Warriors finishing 4th. Wahs need to win 6/7 to cement 4th, so can afford to drop one match. The good news is, Broncos have to play Storm (twice) and Penrith still have Bulldogs, Raiders, and Storm. Some potential losses for both teams which will give the Wahs more breathing room. If the Wahs drop two games that'll bring Manly and Cronulla into the picture as threats to catch the Warriors.
I don't think that's right. six wins would give us 42 points. 3rd and 4th last year after the regular season had 38 points each. The same was true in 2023. 38 points did it. That's 4/7.

At this point, I don't really know.

On the one hand:

We seem to be rolling from injury to injury, our right edge is horrendous and it seems like we've been clutching games all season.

On the other hand:

We've been winning despite the fact that we seem to be rolling from injury to injury, our right edge is horrendous and we've had to clutch most of our wins this season.

I'm not quite sure, as I feel like we've only seen one 'power' game out of this team this season: the sharks.
