TT > CNK

Hopefully this stretch solidifies that CNK should not walk back into the number 1 jersey. 250-300 running meters are just counting stats, you need to be able to affect the game in other ways. CNK's best attributes don't actually impact winning imo.

Good debut from Boyd. Shaky tackle 5 option taking for a pure game managing 7 but he will get better as the season goes on. Hopefully he can play himself into a nice 3 year contract with Perth from 2027, would be great the success of this season for us. Rock solid goal kicking,
This is going to be an interesting finish to the season. Boyd will get all the time and oppertunity to cement a place as the starting seven.

If we make top 4 still this year and he has a good finals series, then he gets half of next season and if we are traveling we'll then. Does metcalf walk back into the side off the back of another ACL?

Man this injury to metcalf has thrown a spanner in the works! Webby and co may have a huge call to make next year.

Anyone else dirty on the bench use? Ford playing 60+ straight at prop, Niukore looking gassed multiple times while Laban sat there for 60. I know Rocco going off disrupts the plan but jesus. A better team would have stripped us in those minutes where we had fatigue
Time to forget about Berry
Go to market for a centre/ wing
Laban should have been on alot earlier
Centres in reserve grades stand up
It’s your chance

Hmmm
Cnk s bravery defence and solid hit ups provide a massive boost
Tt may be better at attack in some areas but Cnk overall is the better player
Tt s lack of size works against him in some parts of the game too

I like both but at this stage Cnk for me
His size does work against him for sure. Just like CNK's lack of a pass or creativity with the ball works against him. Neither are perfect players and neither should be our fullback beyond the next 2 years if we are serious about competing for trophies. Just have to hope Lemana, Putoko, Norris or Ratcliffe can develop into an elite number 1.

So solid on our game plan tonight. A lot of stars in the mix. Ford, Egan, RTS and TT. But for mine that pin point kicking game and ease of passing when deep in the line from Tanah was a stand out difference. Love, love, love Metcalf bit he seems way more structured and direct and his kicking game is solid off the back of a dominant pack tonight. Just suits the style we are playing with. Feeling confident about a #top4 finish right now!

When push comes to shove

Penrith
Storm
Broncos

All stronger on paper and I would expect them to stream roll us when it matters the most - Finals

Penrith and Broncos wiped us clean easily in 2023. Expect the same this year or hope we can somehow avoid them in the draw at least until the GF!
Respect, Beast. I respect what you're saying but I have another angle. I'm a firm believer on who's the better, prepared, team on the day. AND, tbh, anything can happen on that said day. The bounce of the 'Rugby League Ball' is what makes this fu(kin Brilliant Game so Incredible.

The Passion from the Boys today was enough to tell Me to put some lazy coin on 'em to make the GF and Win it!

2003 - The NZWarriors were, pretty close, favourites to take it out. Instead they got beat by an under rated black cat mob, who quietly slipped under the radar, before the Big Dance.

Anyhow, I'm pumped! Any team on paper should get one over Us because they Should! Glass half full sez "Ahh Nah." The other half relies on the results of others of course, Good night.

Lots to like with both Tannah's and Taines game today, and the comparison with the players they replaced inevitable really.

As most have already commented when we threw up shape the directness and how deep Boyd goes into the line creates so much more space for his edges so it felt like we looked more dangerous on our shifts. Game management with his boot as well was top class, accuracy and length, even when we didnt make the 40 he was still able to bring it down in their 10.

Taine is obviously much more a threat ball in hand than Charnze and plays a more traditional supporting sniping role around the the ruck, with his fast feet sniffing half chances, whereas Charnze is all about defence and yardage.

I would however hold off anointing either of them permanent lock ins just yet tho. Thought the Tigers were poor defending in the middle and our pack dominated for long periods. The ruck speed we were getting and the space that was creating was insane at times.....want to see when we dont get this (as has happened various times throughout the season) how these guys respond,

Back on track but not getting too carried away. The disconnect in that right edge defence is still a worry, Dallin and Rocco look all out at sea when the opposition shift, and even further infield i think Marata's lateral mobility is causing doubt.....really wish we could nail that down.

And Demetric from bench.....mighty
