We started like a team who had their confidence back. Also through the middle of the game and the later part we also played like a team with a bit of mental frailty with our record against the Storm.

May have also been some hangover from the Coates try earlier in the year. Mind you that game earlier in the year should have been enough of a reminder to play for 80 minutes against the Storm.

Both were justified sin binnings, though the Storm should have been a man down in the final 10 for that cynical play when we were hot on attack. Also, I watch a lot of league and can't recall any other team getting penalised 2 tackles later for a high shot that wasn't an act of thuggery. Its happend twice to us now though.

Should of used Chanel there? Very limited time he got too. Webby is weird with his bench use.
I don't understand why CHT didn't go to centre. I get Walker has played there before and he wasn't bad there but it also screws our play by essentially moving two players - Berry out and Walker moving from the middle where he has been exceptional the last three games. Seems the more options AW has the more he makes some weird choices.

Can’t do too much with tries from kicks unless you put RTS or CNK in the centres, they probably exploited that

Long range try was when Berry was broke on the other side. Don’t know if Monty was supposed to stay in for the 4th try

Ref going back 2 tackles for a penalty was just rigging, if NZ media want they could blow it up

Walker for Berry was a bad call, same energy as last year when Walker was chucked to 6 because he was “versatile” I wonder would RTS just run around their centre, Walker did well but not enough pace for a centre. We were stuck with Tohu at 13 with that decison, why wasn’t CHT at centre?

2 sin bins killed the game, Dallin was from outnumbering pressure, Monty was just dumb

SJ was rusty like others said, first game back in a new role I don’t blame him

Seem to be the same story against the Storm, lead well then get injuries and reffed out of the game, probably similar to last year, but performance was worse due to sin bins

I was going to ask. Does it happen often that they go back for a penalty?
I can recall them more when the game has a stoppage calling out the player and saying they are on report for an incident a few plays back.

Both sin bins I am fine with. The Montoya one the coaches usually want you player to tackle the player instead of giving up the points. Looking at the replay it looked like we had some coverage there with CNK back there and Montoya just tackled him as he ran at him. I'd need to check again to confirm if we had players there.

Definitely 10 in the bin, but was the original penalty even one? Storm player gave the ball up into Montoyas hands.

Got off to a hell of a start, at 14-0 Im willing to say no other team beats us from there
