The play where Niukore busted through Sandon Smith and Radley and left them both dazed on the ground holding their bodies and writhing around was rugby league gold. If Niukore can keep up anything close to this level of play then suddenly we have an elite second rower. We are paying $625,,000 for him - source link below. So we are getting what we paid for. But man how good. He smashed 'em bro. Sort of getting into Trevor Linden shoulder checking his opponent through the glass in the NHL in the 1990s territory.

He took a head cut for that and a knock later on and was a bit unseen to me eyes.
Didmt he only run 48 metres?

He didnt bust through them, he made a few pcm. He had 1 decent run and 1 decent tackle in 50mins of bludging. No tackle breaks, no line breaks.

Ali had a better run and a better hit.

Even after a win and a win streak of two there are some who want to argue over something.... anything.
That's ok. Don't think of it as arguing. Think of it is an academic debate. Also worth noting the people arguing in favour of "don't change a winning formula" were holding their own nicely in the debate so there was no need for anyone else to get involved. But yes on the surface of it a bit of wind up. Worse debates have happened on this forum before. I am trying to think of one...oh I know after we lost SJ in 2018 there was a ludicrous debate about whether we were better off without him. I mean what did history end up showing us? After he left we finished bottom four most years. That was the biggest wind up ever. People wanted him gone because he was "inconsistent" by that they mean he was only the best player on the field for either team once every three games instead of every game. It was out of control. There was a lot of SJ hate that came to the surface. When he came back to us there was nothing but love which was good to see.

a) That tackle bust was rugby league pornography requiring you to be over 18 years old to watch it or be accompanied by an adult.
b) It changed the match and gave all the warriors players a shot of confidence
c) The crowd loved it and got the price of admission from that play alone
d) Even if you don't agree with the above three points I am sure you will agree it will help Marata's confidence and will theoretically lead to better games in the future.

I thought that had “remember my name” written all over it, made Radley come off for 15, then Ford elbowed Watson out of the game, then Ali did a waka or grave on their 6 (same guy smashed at the start?), so this is encouraging to see, we want to bruise teams like Roosters instead of going into pussy mode like this time last year against the Sharks or Dragons getting run down

I said it before the season started and got laughed at. We have the toughest pack in the NRL
Marata - Jake the Muss
Fish - One scary fucker
Barnett - Considered to be an enforcer and nearly lost his career at the Knights for elbowing some poor Kent in the face because Barnett just "felt like it".
On the top of that we have the hombre twins Vaimauga and Halasema who like it rough.

The only "nice guys" in our forward pack are Capewell and Ford.

If they continue to develop and learn under fish's tutelage, Demetric and Leka are gonna end up becoming one of the scariest one-two bench combo in the comp. Laban not far behind. Just wished we had kept Zyon Maiu’u as well.

I am going to turn the microscope on to a small turning point in the game.
The Hombre Bros (Leka and Demetric) have good composure and reflects they have come through the grades and learned how to handle themselves from a conduct on the field point of view. They don't argue with ref ever for example they just get on with it.

There was a PTB error by Demetric 5 minutes before half time right on half way. And I thought here we go this will result in a Rooster try.
Firstly demetric just accepted it. No rubbish about calling for a speculative review just to save his embarrassment.
Then later in the game we used our review when we actually wanted it.
Final point the team manned up and killed of the Roosters raid that followed. Good play by Demetric and good play by the whole team for killing it off.
