I don't see "RTS or CNK at FB" as the real argument.

It's obvious CNK goes straight back in and most of us expect the team to improve with his presence.

The real arguement is that RTS simply has to be the backup.

Feel a bit for Taine, I expect him to make a move away at seasons end, he should be starting at 1 in the NRL and there are plenty of teams that should be taking a look at him.
Interesting. I'd encourage Taine to stay as like the other young blokes he will get his day. And learning under RTS and CNK is good

It is good seeing the big crowds the team is attracting. Not only to Mt Smart but also the Christchurch trial and NRL match were well attended.

Part of it will be missing NRL locally after covid. That only goes so far. Most of it will be due to performances.

Last year they would announce a sell out and a few times the South Stand didn't have the top section opened or the majority of it full. Last night even the South Stand was packed. Even a people on the northern hill or on the hill between the west and south stands.

The Aussie clubs have flirted over the years with bringing games to NZ as the Warriors didn't pull the crowds in Australia. They probably don't have that problem now. Moving a game to NZ would pack it out but make getting the 2 points harder.

Rocco was excellent - unlucky not to score first try, beast on defence and kick chase. I thought he is a vital link in our defencez

we are a very good defensive side now. Apart from Storm game where we had them on toast before an act of god, we’ve only conceeded 16, 10 and 12 points. Keep that up and we’ll be top 2 by round 27.
I'm a Rocco fan, but thought he unusually missed a few tackles.

Radio news reports Like Metcalfes leg broken.
Not good.
It didn't look great - though if you slow video of the tackle down there's a few weird things about it - it's his trailing leg (the right one) that get injured, and it's not via direct impact (which is what it looked like at first viewing) - maybe it gets slightly caught and twisted?, or his left left gets knocked into the trailing? It's weird, the severity will be wholly a result of how fast he was traveling - I'm thinking a literal broken ankle, or lower fibula.

I’ve always loved CHT. He has been a victim of the terrible teams and coaches of past + being told as a 20 year rookie “you now have the keys to the team, but you also have no support”

He was everywhere on both sides of the ball. In one set he made four tackles. We’ve always talked up his defence but I’ve never noticed how much he actually goes looking for work. IMO he is top 5 heartiest Warriors of all time.

Sharks have a lot of middle forward injuries. The conspiracist in me wonders if they could want him to aggravate for an early release? Was plain to see his body language last year was strange at one point and then his missus made a public post about him carrying the team?
Idk - I have a bad habit of trying read the mood of teams and individuals in those moments around the games, before and after, and it rarely goes well for me - i watched that horrible dogs and bunnies game the other night and the shots in the dressing room of the rabbits pre-match looked like a death march, they we quiet and not conversing with each other at all - and yeah, they were shit, but the dogs were shitter -- anyway my point is that we just don't see most players outside of those naturally high anxiety periods whether that's before or after a match etc. so don't have good baseline for knowing if their demeanour is off or not

To be fair I thought his game was flat by his standards. Potentially carrying an injury that saw him stay down at one point? Saw his grimace last week in some contact so hopefully just a light niggle causing a bit of discomfort that he can play through. 17 runs for 140m compared to Barnett’s 18 runs for 178m

Losing Metcalf early was not good.
Great games from everyone.
Monty and dwz were very good.
Not a bad player.
Wondering why if SJ has a niggle doesn't Pompey do the goal kicking.
Did good last year
Goal kicking practice for next week and beyond?
