Leka needs to practice catching long passes, the last time he played centre was a disaster 😂

#Blackpilling
Even to the Dolphins pre season game we were fairly gloomy over the season but Shirley, he's been coached to prepare for this. We looked due for a thrashing at 6-0 last week. Then when Chitty went down. Then when Fish went for HIA. But somebody forgot to tell the team to drop their bundles.

I'm on the Leka will kill it tomorrow train.

I personally don't get the Marata hate. He has had his moments on defense but he presents genuine size on an edge. We have a genuine size advantage on the edges with Marata and Laban in this game. They will present a nightmare for the Knights halves in this game, especially Gamble who is coming into this game with a hamstring injury, according to the Knights forum.

none of this matters if we dominate the middle. Make sure they never enter our red zone so that we don't need to worry about the dangers in their backline. Just like we did for the chooks game.

Roosters made plenty of breaks and even crossed for like 3 or 4 tries that eventually got disallowed. We played amazing, but there were plenty of holes in our defence. Not trying to shit on our D or anything but there will certainly be opportunities.
I think well still win but its not gunna be a cakewalk

I see the angst is up in hurr, pre game fan wobbles. Relax folks, no Pomps is a big out for us in terms of being our best defensive wide player, but Leka can tackle, he is an offensive defensive type of defender with good lateral movement, Leka will eat this up.

I would be more concerned about Ali.

Big challenge for Boyd, returning to the scene of his own murder last year. Hopefully he can come flying out of the blocks, I think he will be fine because he has to play big brother for young Hanson, and Tanah will do everything he can to protect his NSW cup brother.

Webster is running a happy crew, they will be fine provided we don't get super ripped off with bollocks like fake send offs and a 1000 six agains. Even then we will get through just fine, this is a purple patch for the Warriors, they are on fire at the moment, Newy are in for a loss.

Gagai strikes me as the kind of player who will want to put a rookie superstar like Leka in his place.

He's still a good centre defensively and if he gets some early ball and has Leka 1 on 1 I reckon Gagai beats him. I hope hes had a few reps at centre over the off-season

Let's hope thats after Leka has run over him 3 times prior to that 🤣
Leka used zero power but footwork to leave Gagai clutching at fresh air the last time we played them in the last minute win. I have faith in Leka doing his job with interest vs Gagai this weekend.

tbh I wish Ponga, Brown and Sharpe were all playing. Now if we win, the narrative will be all about how brave Newcastle were if the result is anything other than a Wahs 30+ win. If we somehow lose this, then it'll be about how we can't travel, etc.
Who cares ya take a win regardless of the narrative, in such a tight comp!
If you lose you will be stronger next week.

Facts first, because clearly some of these “experts” need help. Knights have beaten a wooden spoon-level side in Rounds 1 & 2. That’s it.

We’ve taken down a premiership favourite and last year’s minor premiers — and didn’t just scrape it, we handled them.

Different levels.

Trust the culture. Trust the discipline. Trust the fitness. Trust the team-first mentality Webster’s built — that’s why this side is humming right now.

Then you’ve got Sean the Sportsbet “trader” tipping Knights 13+ 😂 One of his big brain takes? Boyd and Hanson are a new halves combo. New? Are you taking the piss?

They’ve played 13 games together in NSW Cup. Won all 13. Won the comp. Won the national championship. But yeah… “new combo” 🙄

This is exactly what’s wrong with these planted analysts — either they don’t know shit about fuck, or they’re feeding mug punters a narrative to follow.

Watch the games. Watch the pathways. Know your footy. I don’t gamble, but I can smell absolute garbage analysis from a mile away — and that’s exactly what that is.

Wahs by plenty ❤️💙💚
