We knocked it on in the aerial contest I thought
I thought the Sharks game (easyy one to pick cos it was our best win of the year) showed the space that Metcalf created for others. When he was lurking out the back Clark and Vaimauga could off load and create space through the middle. Hopefully multiple backline threats creates more room for the Halasimas, Labans etcIt’s weird I wonder if the shape would be there by this time of the year and if Metcalf was the 7, if so I’d probably want to get Linnane at 6 when he’s ready for more pace, if not I’d have Metcalf at 6 next year, but I think it’s the former unfortunately he got hurt before progressing the game plan
And what’s with CHT habitual fake pass every time he’s about to hit the line that NO ONE ever falls for????
It makes him even slower and unable to break the line. His strength is not speed so he should park the dummy passes and practise the skip pass or flick pass which I thought he did well a few time during the game.
We are missing the speed of Metcalf in our halves! And what’s with CHT habitual fake pass every time he’s about to hit the line that NO ONE ever falls for????

Every team does this, it's coached according to Willy Mason. If some of the lazy big boys got back into position quickly CNK wouldn't be having to take so many hit ups.
There were times last night where he had to take 2 or 3 in the same set as others were ambling back onside
Basically through the prop sized wingers we used to churn out. And it's normalized to have back threes pulling extra weight in the carries department.I have always wondered why a prop doesn’t drop back on the 5th for this exact reason, not to take the first but certainly the second hit up
Happens when your supremacy is let down by the system.Fuck I’m still irritated yeah
Could have walked away with a fluke win last night and I’d be sitting here laughing at all youse complaining about how bad we are
Instead we got fucked over again by the ref and I have to join the bandwagon![]()
Yep - does my head in hearing clueless old buggers at the ground whinge about the lazy forwards not being back.Every team does this, it's coached according to Willy Mason.
It's a symptom of the speed of the modern game, and add in the reduced interchange. He said commentators have no idea, and that it does his head in when he hears them mention it.
Middle defends hard, gets tackle 2-3 to get back on side at least in defensive yardage sets with the opposition coming off their line and then kicking deep. If you watch every single NRL game, it's what every team does.
That's true, but also if there was a real dinner party you would be the first name on my invite list!I knew this was made up as I doubted you had 30 friends (joke)
Not saying hes been bad just saying being a little more explosive, would be a top tier centre. He's doing fine. Developed his footwork and is pulling off some amazing ball playing. Pompey is looking the most likely to score in that back line.
Hes had a great year. One of the few to be available every game. Just saying if he was more explosive, would be a top tier centre.Pompey is having a tremendous season he deserves his flowers this season.
Many are criticising CNK’s kick returns and suggesting that the metre stat is of no value The point I was making is that without CNK’s carries on kick return we would never be in any position on the field to start a worthwhile attackEvery team does this, it's coached according to Willy Mason.

I Think our whole team as a collective lack explosivness, its pretty remarkable what webby has acheived with this team.Hes had a great year. One of the few to be available every game. Just saying if he was more explosive, would be a top tier centre.
Which makes me ask why Taine is not out there. TBF he has given several exciting forwards a crack.I Think our whole team as a collective lack explosivness, its pretty remarkable what webby has acheived with this team.
