Saw a couple of times that looked a bit like shovel it to Halasima and expect something happens around it. So often we did this with SJ and RTS over the years, I hope we don’t do it with this young guy
Its a pity he was a couple of years away from connecting with prime SJ.....now that wouldve been sexy.

As u say need to nip the "throw it to Leka when nothings on and hope for the best" in the butt right now. Movement off the ball around him is key i feel, especially when he's receiving it off shapes, decoys and sweepers just to create 1 on 1 or space.....we've seen how lethal he can be in that situation. Also think we overdo the crash ball at the line at times, mix it up with some nice early ball.

I mean he is a weapon now but Katoa at the Storm and Nikora at the Sharks arent bad blueprints to work off.

We are really predictable, even a shift early in set now and then would have the defence guessing a bit more. In saying that, I’ve liked our shape in recent times. There’s always going to be space open from the attention Halasima gets, it’s up to us to set up plays with this in mind. I agree regarding SJ, that would have been epic to have Halasima running off him and a kick target. Thought Niukore was a big part of SJ’s success in 2023 too

There was a period in 2023 when there was always players in motion and SJ looked great. We need to get that style back, Tanah ain't SJ but he needs more to work with as he does take the ball to the line.
I think Boyd at 7 and Metcalf at 6 is actually our best combo, despite boyds defence.

Interesting that when RTS got the break against Parra he didnt have the speed to continue on. There was also no real support around him . Remember the days of Wade McKinnon and Lancey boy always backing up players waiting for the pass?
His break was from a one out hit up from memory. I also think when you have a conservative game plan it sets the mindset of players. When you play a more varied, attacking game things start to happen more for you and players have a different mindset. I know the result didn't go our way against the Dolphins but I thought that game was one of the most dangerous we looked with ball in hand. We were much more positive, looking for chances to attack and I think it's one of the few games this season where we created legitimate space and overlaps for our outside backs through good ball movement and shape.

Too much Once were Warriors from you Jake…
Years ago working offshore, been away for 8 weeks, came home, kids watching tv, said hey guys I'm home, no one blinked. Picked up the tv and hurled through the ranchslider into the pool. Unfortunately the ranch slider was closed.
The Gruppenfuhrer still reminds me of it

Keeping on topic. Was really incandescent after the bunker ruling on the last try.
IMO, the bunker is redundant. We either allow them to adjudicate on every transgression or they GTFOOH and leave it to the ref. Let them adjudicate on forward passes which seem to be a free for all at the moment and lets give each side 10 captains calls because that's about the number of misdiagnoses that occur per game (not just us)
If the ref doesn't ask for a review do they still intervene (especially if it is the Wahs)?

Rather we just let the ref call it and pay them huge money from the fall out and abuse they will get from dodgy decisions.

Just finished watching a replay on youtube. Regarding the infamous Pompey no-try call: it doesn't help that there's no audio commentary from the bunker. IMO there should be mandatory audio in the interests of transparency.
