I can't see how the bunker can rule a definitive knock on in that situation - that's some wild wild shit, on field ref called six again and gave the try ... so they actually went in to wipe it out - that's not right - so yeah, robbed
Cronk on the coverage after Demi said he touched it but was facing our goal line "Case closed Knock On"

Definitely wasn't cased closed.

Pain.

Fuk it bring on the Panthers at home and let’s knock those arrogant pricks out.
As for tonight we were the better team for long periods but we didn’t have the strike power when it counted.
Egan was mud slow and predictable.
Fuk it

They put themselves in the position to get those tries though.

When's the last genuine speedster we had that could outrun a team?

When's the last time we had regular support play by the fullback?

We have a game plan that basically requires us to be spoonfed tries via repeated possession right on their line.

I agree with pretty much everything you're saying, but that doesnt mean that those tries arent still very fortunate.

There are a few players quicker than the Fox, yet they havent scored a 100m try in the first 5 min of a game against the run of play

Name me the top 5 offloaders in the comp. How many tries have been scored from a dangerous offload from inside their 30? Not many I'm guessing.

It doesn't take anything away from Parra, you gotta be in it to win it, and they took their opportunities well, but most games they simply don't happen.
We were the better team for most of the night statistically, they just scored more tries lol

They were very fortunate, and as I mentioned sometimes you might get lucky and get one of those, where tonight they managed all three.

Maybe we're arguing semantics but it was certainly fortunate for them.

In the 160+ matches that have have been played this year, how many 100m tries have there been? I would guess only the 1, which would be considered fortunate.

Paulos offload, in traffic. Again, lucky isn't the word but that was the 4th tackle after us really pinning them in their 30. It was extremely fortunate. Iongi still had loads to do, and finished brilliantly. But yeah, you don't usually get that many fortuitous tries in a game I reckon
I mean it was poor efforts from Marata and Boyd in the Ado one and then a poor effort from Capewell in the Paulo offload.

I guess the Eels were fortunate in that we decided not to tackle them?

I dont see that as fortunate. That implies that somehow no matter what we could not have stopped them scoring in those instances when clearly thats not the case

How is it fortunate that we dropped off tackles that couldve shut all 3 tries down? Our destiny was still in our own hands so to speak.

Your probably right tho just sematics.

Imo despite us dominating possession they probably deserved the win more than us. Felt like we were playing for the inevitable Eels implode so we could grind them to death which never came with their 94% completion. Moses kicking them out of trouble and they took their chances better when they were presented with them

Overall though we were the dominant team, at the ground this was obvious - we're getting in a position to put points on and defending really well for the most part - their tries mostly from our mistakes in long range situations - which sucks - fuck that last bunker call - where do you go from here ?

This is a problem with our gameplan. The grind expectation is errors. If the errors don't come we have no B game plan and the opposition have an opportunity to get themselves out of trouble by taking advantage of our lack of crab movement from our geriatric 2nd rowers and therefore how our outsides come in.
Something needs to change imo

I'll just leave these here.

I think our attack has looked a bit better over the past couple of weeks compared to the weeks before it. We are trying to move the ball around a bit and i like the energy in our hitups with the fast play the balls. Some good line running too but hopefully we see more breaks. Our problems stem from despite all that, our main bread and butter remains yardage from the wings and fb, that is just how the warriors play under webby. If we want to change the way we attack, we need to reduce the 3 tackles each set that are used up by those players.

Our defence is what lost us this game. Some of the stuff was really soft, and some others just showcase how we are no match for teams with pace. Webby will probably say that the first try JAC scored was because we tried to go for the try with Berry rather than putting out a conservative line to defend the Eels bringing the ball back from their ingoal. He really doesnt like staggered line against the opposition and i kinda get it especially when we lack pace....but we need to challenge for the ball a bit more than we do...or need to bring out the offloads.

Dang it!

To be fair, in the fair dinkum department, given how average their first two tries - and the one that got it back to 16-26 - were, maybe we didn't deserve the win.
And I though Dallin was Sin Bin Bound after that tackle. Maybe he should have been...

Had to watch on delayed coverage. The EELs scored some great tries. The performance wasn't that bad, just lapses of concentration and some luck going against the team.

The disallowed try by Video REF was inconclusive.

Boyd had a great game and is starting to get with CHT and how good was Pompey anf RTS

Whilst disappointing i knew it was going to be a tough game. The Warriors will beat Manly next Friday and i think it is due to br a dry evening which I think will suit the team.

We only start playing decent footy when the games over.
I wonder if that’s the boys abandoning Webbys game plan as his awesome structure gets us about 4 points a game.
