SJ's biggest downfall i think is his passion and will to want to win. The moment things go sour, that passion seems to get to him, and its harder for him to stay composed. I've seen the frustration on the TV.

The pressure on him would be extremely hard to handle, esp when he goes out injured after a couple of losses. Worst of all for SJ, whilst he's out, we go on and string some wins together. That would play into his mind as to whether he's the right option or not.

After that you're mind would be set out to prove a point, if and once it goes wrong, it's detrimental.

He's still the GOAT, confidence is just down. Maybe some time in cup to regain the confidence would do him wonder. Not in a "he's been dropped" scenario, but in an oppurtunity to play without the pressure and regain that confidence situation.

On a side note i've felt the same with RTS, he's tried so hard all season that it's just gone south because of his passion, and it eats him when it goes wrong.

Hopefully tonight sky rockets him.
I agree, some cup wins would be great, amd let's say we go on a run, he's back if there is an injury.

If we are winning don't change it, that's all.

Did anyone see the trip Staggs was put on report for?

The hit to the back of the head will likely see him in trouble as well. Shots like that are banned in combat sports.

Back on the trip one of the try scoring players in the first half had a leg thrown out as well.
Staggs has one hell of a punchable face…

I'm in the meh camp too. We won and I'm happy but to be full blown happy I would have needed to see another two tries. But good we won but against his Broncos team. Ok back to celebrating a victory
Idk, 2 things - you can only play what's in front of you and for 80% of that game we were running around 50m in our sets and theyt were running about 30m or under - that's fucking good in my book

For sure, have allways wondered why a coach brings back in injured player instantly, when they're winning. 9 times out of 10 that breaks the win streak.

There's alot of pressure on the returning player to perform.

Get him in cup, get him on his feet, let CHT and TMM run the show and unless there's an injury bring SJ back.

This time last year (roughly), if SJ went down injured we went into panic mode. Now everyone's all seeing it as a blessing in disguise. He still has alot to offer, just needs to free himself from the shit mentality....

... reading comments like he did last week that he posted about, wouldn't help, bro should be banned from social media during the season. Would do him well too I reckon.

My 2 cents….
CNK - I’m worried. The effort is there but the positioning was terrible. FB #2 is killing it, absolute dynamite but I’m afraid CNK is one of the “undroppables”
DWZ - awesome
Montoya- we need an upgrade
Pompey - OK
RTS - was hungry - still could go either way.
TMM and CHT - best halves combo we have!! Both natural high IQ footballers that we need to break down modern defences. No argument for Metcalf or SJ in my POV!!

AFB - good comeback game
Egan - was good will hopefully build
Barny - Leader!! Should be captain
Capwah - ok
Niukore - great presence! Makes a difference!
Walker - another natural footballer that makes a difference

Tohu - good for short bench mins
Ford - meh
Lusick - meh
Jazz - meh

Cup players knocking on the door! I hope some get a chance.

TMM is so unorthodox. I don't mean to glaze him too heavily, but idk if I have seen anything quite like it personally

He sold this shit out of that "shortside" play to take the scoot, and for a guy who's kicking game is meant to be is weakest point as a half, he was great off the boot. Still needs to get some more power into it for long distance but it is passable, and Chanel makes up for it.

We'll know for sure in the next month, but surely SJ has been Drew Bledsoe'd..
