Not sure if already mentioned, but also on that page is a pic that makes you wonder whether the "no contact" element of a player wearing a yellow bib is respected at a Dragons training.

It is easy to get carried away with a highlights package. Maybe he hasn't made these rep teams for a number of reasons. Dodgy defense poor workates, poor trainer, all those can be fixed.
Looking at him and where he plays in union at 8, I'm thinking as mentioned above that his height is the problem going forward. Limits his options considerably as a loose forward in today's union game.

The whole Volkman thing is unfortunate, I really think the major balls up lands at the feet of Volkman and his management.

Volkman clearly did not think his shoulder niggle was a major, otherwise he never would have asked for a release. That's why this is unfortunate, he is a young guy looking for an opportunity, and probably didn't appreciate the severity of his shoulder issue. That's the job of his manager to have everything tidy and lined up, which he clearly didn't. That's why they clip the ticket.
