I really curious what kind of doctor decribes something/injury as fealing like chocolate. Like what kind of chocolate? A cadbury chunky bar? Milky bar? Hersheys kiss? What a vague diagnosis!
Chocolate just out of the fridge - hard and rigid
Chocolate that’s been in the sun - soft and squishy
Room temperature chocolate - firm with a bit of give under pressure

Or the damn doctor twisted it to hard and snapped a chunk off causing the injury!

Could mean anything really?

Cht will have to really impress in training .
Been out of the game for a year

Hopefully he can but game management is not his forte

Tmm at 7 and Metcalfe 6
We saw TMM at 7 in the Panthers game and he can't kick for shit. We lost as soon as we played him at 7, we were getting like 30 meter kicks for distance. Either Metcalf can kick or CHT needs to dust that rust off quick smart.

'They should ALL be practising this part of their games .Kicking is a practice thing. (Mc Fadden & Jones to advise)
Remember Andrew Johns practising the Banana kick for hours .

NRL Physio reckons worst case 6-8 weeks. And that’s if he needs surgery so fingers crossed! He’s ok though
NRL physio has also in the past said that unlike a lot of injuries, syndesmosis isn’t one that typically impacts performance in the early days of return to play. So worst case hopefully is SJ misses 1-2 rounds & then returns in round 3 with 5 try assists, 4 line breaks & 2 length of the field tries.

Tmm has even admitted as much, not in those exact words in an interview before last season.
Just found the video.
At the 4:10 mark.

This is catastrophic, with it being his ankle he is going to come in underdone and likely be very much behind the pace. Also this time of the year is when teams usually start implementing and refining their game plan and style of play, so not having our general out on the training paddock is really going to mess things up. Could be quite a rough start to the season.
I disagree. The warriors must prepare for life after SJ/AFB etc. Replacements must be identified early and be ready at a moments notice. Also much prefer SJ on ice at the start of a season, than at the end.

SJ could almost with no pre season tactical work and slot straight in. He’s that experienced & such a leader now, he’ll be all over the tactical sessions even if he’s not taking part. From a fitness perspective, again, he’s the ultimate professional. He might be slightly underdone from a running perspective, but he certainly won’t be unfit as there’s other methods to maintain fitness being on one leg. Worst case he’ll be eased in, play half a game in trials, then 60 mins round 1 etc etc, but that’s worst case. He’ll be sweet, and we have halves depth regardless. Frustrating but hardly catastrophic.
