The commentators job is to keep people interested. They always ride the team thats behind to keep people from turning off.

Titans were poor, but easily our best performance since at least the Tigers game. Boyd and CHT look like they are starting to gel, EIT made his mark and TSS was good after that early missed tackle. Hopefully no injuries as well.

Eels will be more of a test though and we need to keep improving. More optimistic about the season than I was before the game.

I'm not sold on martin, I think healey could have made a decent impact last night, its only the fear of losing a half or FB is why martin is picked.
Webby is making a huge mistake here, playing scared. We need to be working Healey into the game plan from 14 NOW. Two clear reasons, one if Egan goes down TMM is not first drop hooker or even second drop. Egan could definitely go down at any time and we're just straight fucked without him. Two, our attack and energy have been flat, playing Healey either side of half time is a great opportunity to work some dynamicism into the team.

What's the fucking point in having TMM at 14. I thought he did ok when he came on, but he's really just bringing injury cover which is playing scared. Our only chance come finals is to maximise upside, which means playing healey at 14 not TMM.

I was saying this a few weeks ago. Absolutely makes sense during round robin to have TMM there, especially with Rocco's first or 2nd game back, but when it comes to our do or die finals games, I don't think you can afford to carry TMM 'just in case'. You're playing your best team and the players who can make the biggest impact. Unfortunately TMM isn't that guy when he's on the bench.

I hope Webby is brave enough to pull the trigger with Healey in the finals

Serious question: how many fans do the tits actually have? Granted we have a lot of kiwis living on the GC, but it is still pretty embarrassing to be outnumbered by the away team. Have a Newcastle friend who went to GC to see them play the Knights earlier in the year and he said the Knights fans outnumbered them then as well.
Bs
They get about guess 9000 titan fans each week
And the balance support the other side
Pleace is very itinerant people come here then go others come here people from Nz and Nsw still support their old teams.
Average crowd 14000
Yesterdays biggest crowd of the season 23000

JFH was an improvement, really not sure what's happening with Leka at the moment - at mt smart last week he looked really down, sitting on the ground on the sidelines for most of the match, Chanel was great last night, Boyd's best game, RTS is just consistently superb.

We don't need Taine at the moment - CNK had a great game, Pompey and Berry solidified the centre pairings, Dallin ran it up all night, EC as always consistently strong, EIT had a great showing and I still can't get the TSS is the new jazz out of my head after reading someone else's comment.

We did what we had to. I doubt any other side in the top 8 will fear us right now.

HOWEVER, THAT WAS A FUCKING SHOULDER CHARGE, AND JFH GOT A SHOULDER DIRECTLY TO THE HEAD LATE IN THE GAME!!!
Doing jazz a diservice there
Much better player albeit more experienced than TSS
TSS only seems to have a small motor which runs out of puff
At the game yesterday very noticeable.

TMM 100% stays at 14, he was great last night
Tyran Wishart gets accolades as the best utility in the nrl, but I think there’s a real argument for TMM. No doubt that Wishart is a great 7 replacement for Hughes too but TMM coming in and filling so many roles admirably has been handy for the team. We seem to have a real knack of getting a lot out of our utilities, Jazz was 2018 dally m bench player, Walker went to the next level and there’s been a real shift in TMM where he’s defensively really putting his shoulder in. He missed a few tackles yesterday but his stats offer everything that Egan did when on and is still a natural halve setting up EIT beautifully

Man Rocco Berry seemed to solve a headache on the right with DWZ looking so much more comfortable. Brian Kelly had a field day over Capewell last time and although Kelly got him one on one, Pompey missed a couple just the same last week. It wasn’t perfect but much better and Berry will get back to match fitness over the coming weeks and hopefully too stay healthy 🤞it was a great comeback performance for only 6 games played this season

I think you have to remember that the bloke is only 21.
Having a look at the list of players who are 21 and younger, forward wise theres very few who have player 10 games this year and averages 30 minutes a game.

The Wahs are actually flush with them tbh - Demi, Leka, Laban and Tanner have been main stays in first grade this year. Outside of Toby Couchman, Finefueiaki and Pasifiki Tonga (who only has 8 games).

He had a poor miss against one of the top forwards in the comp yesterday, which I'm sure he'll learn from. But could be another one of our young blokes that could be on 30+ games (including finals experience) at the end of next year. Pretty nuts really

Telling you what I saw at the game which you wouldn’t see on tv
The bloke couldn’t keep up with the game could not get back to the ptb and was in amongst the titans a lot
To my eye meter he struggled to put players down in the tackle
I didn’t see that stuff in Demi and Eit
Leka must have only played small minutes

Every week in these I agree with everything Webster says. Hasler got some direct questions, but so did Webster with “do you think you’re a top 4 team?”. Fair question but the answer is so honest. JFH praising these young guys willingness to learn, feel like they’re really bringing it. JFH was great topping the tackling and great metres, but still making the same errors like Ford if he’s going to be criticised. To be fair they’re both trying to produce quick play the balls and Tino hit him hard off the kick off and he lost possession in one instance
