Noone in the Metcalf to fullback club seems to ponder the thought of putting the guy with paper mache legs in a position where durability is probably one of your biggest assets.

The name Turbo springs to mind when I read every Metcalf to fullback comment.

Metcalf to FB is complete madness.

Edit: he will die.

I m happy for coach to decide between Cnk and Tt
I thought Cnk was excellent until he took some real heavy knocks
Tt is v good but did you see what happened to Kini today? That’s the big risk with small fullbacks
We have another guy who could play fullback on return too
Forgotten man TMM
Did a great job playing FB at the Broncos
But at the end of the day Webster makes the call and he s proved his calls are right
Apart from playing Jacko for 80 minutes each week - more than a touch unnecessary

Forgot about him, good shout. I’d like to see him there tbh

How on earth is he past it? There is no indication he's past it.
Hes a 32 year old that hasnt seriously played fullback since 2021 and hes gone at end of year. Even from his point of view he is pretty much doing the same thing at centre/ wing just not running as much off the ball.

Makes no sense when we have a young guy who is a dedicated fullback and been in good form this year

Mets before his hammy issues was a definite for me. Now? Not so. He'd tear his hammy, calves, toes & finger's with that extra workload from the back.
Exactly! I don't even know what he's like under the high ball and not too concerned with his D or taking a hit, but FB for guys like Mets is classic ACL, hammy territory, he's already done both at HB....... although this hammy is minor....... I don't think he's glass, but he's susceptible to the non contact injuries, FB is not in his best interests.

He isn't past it. But the workload of last week's performance. And his intense work rate in general over his entire career, Combined with his age it is hard to keep the intensity up over the full 80. Him & Charnze are 2 of the hardest working backs i have ever seen.

But those 2 in particular were falling off or missing crucial tackles the last 20 of the second half.

At their age , Cnk & Rts need to work smarter not harder. Let Ali , Dallin & AKP take more hit ups. Instead of taking 3 - 4 hit ups every set.

I’ve jumped ship. TMM to fullback

I don't care at all Titans won the second half. We won got the two points against a side who has been a bogey side for us in recent years, and Titans came into the match with confidence from a win. I thought Titans played well. It was a high quality match and we won.

Yeah we do......we're just taking it on the basis on all things being equal a guy at absolute full fitness......which of course isnt reality :D

Alternatively, it could be said someone like Ponga got hurt more playing in the defensive front line at 6 than at the back (admittedly that was head knocks so different story)

But most of all on the basis of Metcalf's core skills suiting the modern day fullback - speed off the mark, top end speed, evasiveness, just enough playmaking ability.....my opinion formed mostly on following SJ at the Sharks and seeing Metcalf formative games at the back.....just looked a natural

But unfortunately yeah that body i dont think is going to hold up whatever position he's at

Jacko Ford for origin surely. 226m per game again, 5 tackle breaks, 48 tackles and only 5 missed. When's the last time a prop was leading the Dally Ms? There isn't another middle in the game that is close to what he is producing.

On the other hand, just because he CAN play 80, doesn't mean he SHOULD. We want him to be doing this in rd 25,26,27 and finals, not just now. So I do hope Webby does give him a rest during games moving forward.

Happy with the win. Always hard to come down from a historical win

Probably a 10 point wind and they scored some freakish tries

Healey needs to stop running in the red zone
Healy needed a kick in the ass for going crowbar close to the line
