Im slightly leaning towards team Boyd.
Just think his stocky build is suited to the rigours of rugby league and less likely to get injured. Slightly younger too.
His running game/speed is underrated as well. He can move for a solid lil fella.
It's not Metcalf level fast. But he's got it.
Fix his goal kicking , And we have one hell of a player on our hands if he can keep his confidence in check, And not drop his head when things aren't going well for him.
He works better with CHT. Chanel likes structure. When he knows where he is supposed to be every play. Boyd is Webbys dream. Sticks to his game plans.
Metcalf more off the cuff, Taking opportunities as he sees them. Which, for someone like Chanel, Can throw off his concentration.
Mets can also loiter and look lost when the game goes awry.
Metcalf has a ton of talent. Boyd has work ethic, Heart and drive. His form from last year to this year is world's apart. He has taken this opportunity with both hands and is owning the 7 jersey.
Its now up to Luke to put his head down and wait for his opportunity to come. That's if he wants to stay.

We should seriously consider loaning Luke to idk Melbourne or the dragons.

In both camps. I think Boyds was unfairly criticised last year, and same is happening with Metcalf this year. I dont believe we need to be tribal and have to choose one over the other so we can shit on the other player. Both bring unique skillset to the team, and both do make a case to be the 7. But for right now Boyd should not be dropped for Metcalf. Its just as simple as that.
As warriors fans, we should probably be hoping that we have all 3 of Boyd, CHT, Metcalf at the Warriors this and next year. It makes out halves position stronger and theres no doubt that all can play a big part in how we perform.

Long time left in the season yet and all 3 and maybe other halves could be needed if we were to go all the way.

I’m in Boyd’s camp the start to the year with 40 point scores and the win against Newcastle specifically has changed my perspective on him we look fluid with him at halfback compared to Metcalf last year
I won’t rule Metcalf out completely but he should have always been brought back through reserve grade Webby really botched that situation and now it’s led to this at this point we ride the wave of Boyd while Metcalf bides his time in reserve grade and hopefully stays healthy

Fletcher is like Metcalf will be the 7 by the playoffs, no way we let him go, and Bears would be a good place for CHT to go
I think we're screwed if any of that happens! Just Sydney centric bias towards Metcalf.

The broncos team listing next Tuesday is going to be interesting
80mins @7 in cup will do him a world of good than limited minutes on the bench. It’s the broncos at suncrorp so I’m sure Luke will want a piece of the action.
Can he do both ie NSW cup AND bench backup in NRL? Is it allowed ? Anyone know ?

Don't know the cup to bench rules. But my opinion is bugger it. Sit him on the bench so he can prove himself if and when needed.
