I’ve been digging a bit deeper, and apparently there’s a rumour going round that it was Tanah himself who first put it about that Luke's management was complaining to Webby, although I've also heard it suggested that Luke's team is responsible for that rumour.

So what we’ve got, maybe, is Luke's people putting about a rumour that Tanah's supporters were putting out a rumour that there was a rumour that Luke's management were complaining.

I have always had doubts about Metcalf. There are times are crucial periods where he can be a deer in headlights and just freeze. When he's good he's great but I would argue either player would play well when the team is rolling like they do.

I think Boyd's success has been based off him executing his role perfectly in Webby's highly structured game plan. He's clearly done his homework and is enjoying the rewards. This is true of the whole team really as everyone needs to be in the right place at the right time.

One thing that really cheeses my pizza with Boyd is his goal kicking. ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! There will be games where we win or lose just because of his boot.

What surprises me is people are no longer shitting on CHT anymore. Have the masses finally woken up???

The centre pairings there make no sense to me, but you are right about the defensive mix with Metcalf at 6. The currently tight LH edge defence would be compromised. It would follow that other selection are affected - perhaps first that Charnze would be the better defensive fullback under that option.

Im slightly leaning towards team Boyd.

Just think his stocky build is suited to the rigours of rugby league and less likely to get injured. Slightly younger too.

His running game/speed is underrated as well. He can move for a solid lil fella.
It's not Metcalf level fast. But he's got it.

Fix his goal kicking , And we have one hell of a player on our hands if he can keep his confidence in check, And not drop his head when things aren't going well for him.

He works better with CHT. Chanel likes structure. When he knows where he is supposed to be every play. Boyd is Webbys dream. Sticks to his game plans.
Metcalf more off the cuff, Taking opportunities as he sees them. Which, for someone like Chanel, Can throw off his concentration.

Mets can also loiter and look lost when the game goes awry.

Metcalf has a ton of talent. Boyd has work ethic, Heart and drive. His form from last year to this year is world's apart. He has taken this opportunity with both hands and is owning the 7 jersey.

Its now up to Luke to put his head down and wait for his opportunity to come. That's if he wants to stay.

I would add that Tannah is more a team player - he makes others look good. Luke was more of a lone shark; fast but less able to set his backline alight

Dearden is the incumbent but who do they have otherwise? DCE is old. Jayden Campbell maybe?

Boyd is a confidence player. Imagine what a SOO call up would do for him. Next level unlocked.
