I think we will match the storm initially until AFB and Barnett go off. Be interesting to see how we go with basically SJ as our only legitimate first choice spine player. We will need 18+ points I think to have a chance but I'm worried that they will be very tough to find.

I'll be happy if we can maintain a strong, resilient defence and limit the Storms scoring. I just get the feeling that it could get blown out in the second half.

Can't see how we can win against the storm even with a full strength team. I don't think we are there just yet. With Egan, CNK and Marata out I cannot see how we can outperform the storm at home. Add to that the customary finger from the refs it's just expecting too much from us.

Hoping for a under 12 loss and for us to iron out any remaining gaps for the upcoming games.

My Wish list for tonight,

SJ, to sometimes position himself two off the ruck to create more opportunities for both inside and outside runners.

Lussick to dart from Dummy Half,

Our back rowers to offer a little bit of footwork aaaaand an offload,

Some space for RTS to ‘Dance’ one on one,

Taine backing up through the middle,

Tom Ale to get some minutes,

And finally AFB ….. SPAAAAAARTAAANNN 🌪️💪🏾

Awesome.

My wishlist is

Dominate the ruck

Dictate the speed of the game

Play smart

Stay focused

That should get us there.

Yeah mate, those 2 are key. Imo we were the better team against the Sharks but silly penalties and dropped balls killed us, especially in poor positions too.

We don't even have to play too smart, just don't drop the f**king ball and give away stupid penaltys and we'll be there when the games on the line in the last 10 min

CHT's service at training must have been pretty forgettable to bring Jazz on to the bench after what Lussick served up for 50mins last week.

Every assistant coach radio interview over the last couple weeks have talked about CHT still being a couple weeks away from NRL match fitness. He only managed 60 mins in his first NSW cup game.
I'm certain by round 5 or 6, CHT will be the 14 who covers Egan

The Warriors are going to need to do something special to beat the Storm at home. The Storm have won over 75% of all home games which is better than any other team. I want us to win but can handle a lost to the Storm at Melbourne. I just want it to be competitive as it will be tough without Egan.
My 2 cents is before a game has kicked off we should always be, we should/can win this. After a loss we can say, we got it wrong and we need to change.

Last year we didn't beat the Top 3 in any game.

We have arguably a better squad than last year and we should always be aiming higher. I understand as fans we can't be deluded and say we are the best team in the comp and we'll win the trophy but it should be, we can compete with them all and beat them all.

Obviously hopeful for a win tonight
Hard task but if we get most things right and few things going our way no reason it won't happen.
Hopefully Metcalfe has a great/good game otherwise I will be under fire tomorrow.
But hey..
Up the Wahs
Gee it is odd people are hanging Metcalf out to dry after one round this year. Fuckem bro, he is the guy Webster wants as his first option in the position so I am really behind the bloke, even though I see he is still developing.

He will get there, I am sure of it.

Bout to head towards AAMI Park (first time to this stadium) - hoping to bring some beginners luck, like my first trip to Shark Park last year 🤞 🤞

80 mins of effort - that's what we want to see!
I hope your beginners luck trumps mine at AAMI.

I had to sit through 70 lashings in the ANZAC match.

Also had to sit infront of a Storm fan who was calling every pass of ours forward, and every tackle a penalty even when they were up by 70.

Worst live game i've ever had the pleasure of going to hands down 😂

The last game i'd seen us live was Round 1 2018 beating Souths in Perth.

Had wanted to go to an ANZAC game forever, finally lined it up and flew over.

Traumatic stuff.
Good on you man, yeah I bet…..it was bad enough watching it from my sofa.

That was a humiliating to say the least little own sitting in the stands…..yikes
