Big game this. If we win this, I think our position in the 4 is secure. From what I can see, the one threat currently outside the 4 that could conceivably force their way in is the sharks. Win this, we are 6 pts ahead of them with a bye to come. I'd say this is our hardest game for a few months before the dogs game. So a win here, which is more than possible based on sharks dodgy form, would set us up nicely.

This is going to be our toughest game in terms of what’s on the cards, a game that the squad will really want to win considering it’s a potential 4 point game (we have the bye after this).

we need a scalp against a perceived contender to be taken more seriously. Missed our chance against Canberra. I think the boys will be up for this given AFB. If we get them away, that will be viewed as a large scalp.

Agreed - we’ll need to win at least one of either this game or the one against the Dogs in round 23; otherwise we’ll have the same reputation as the sharks of not being able to beat a team in the top 4. I think this was also the case in ‘23, we weren’t able to beat any team in the top 4.

I actually think the Raiders game is tougher than this one. Sharks are tough at home but they are missing some cattle and have been very inconsistent this year. They always aim up against the top sides though, so they will be up for us. But I give us a real chance here.

Yeah Raiders would be tougher if all things were equal - but I think we had a better chance of beating them last week than coming up against a rested sharks outfit fresh off the bye vs. us in need of the bye.

Factoring fatigue in, I think the sharks will beat us 1-12.
